The fight was postponed and Hopkins was able to go home, while tito had to hole up in his hotel. That wasn't the deciding factor, as Ho[ps woulda won no matter what, but for you to respond with such drivel makes you more ******ed then anything.

I agree that Tito's handwraps helped his power quite a bit, but even naturally nobody could take his shots for too long. Either Margo suddenly improves his defense or he gets KTFO.

 

No, it was Bernard Hopkins. Afterwards Tito was still powerful as hell but he wasn't launching nuclear bombs like before. You still can't walk thru his shots.

 

Why the hell is everyone here assuming Margarito would stand in place to get hit like a ******?

Obviously Tito CAN knock him out.

Marg doesn't show a lot of defense, and when he's forced to he puts his hands up and becomes kind of inactive, like against Paul Williams. He can't seem to do defense and offense at the same time, and that will cost him against anyone who can make him play defense.

 

Tito's power is well documented on top he had a great stamina due to his marathon running a bad recipe for Margo a fighter who come straight on you, on top Tito was a big welter almost the same high like Margo. Tito had one of the most lethal left hook in boxing Joppy said he never felt that king of power two casualties Vargas and joppy were never the same.

 

Some people have this idea that guys with an iron chin cant be knocked out. If anyone gets hit regularly by a top puncher they will be stopped eventually no matter how good their chin. Chuvalo was stopped by fraizer and foreman and he is considered one of the best chins of all time. Trinidad beat the pulp out of mayorga before he finally took him out of there with body shots. Vitali beat on sanders for 8 rounds before the ref said it was enough.

I dont care how good margo's chin is, he is not walking through tito's shots. He can still be stopped by the ref or his corner if they are seeing him take monsterous shots even if he never goes down.

 

I agree I favor tito in this fight as well. It is a bad matchup for margo simply because he is the type who loves to trade shots and isnt that hard to land on. Trinidad does great against those types. The times trinidad lost or came close to lossing he was outboxes (DLH, hopkins, wright). Margo will be tasting his shots if they fought and unless margo can rough up trinidad and take him out with some bodyshots then margo is in trouble.

It would probably be a very entertaining fight, trinidad might get dropped if margo catches him but he always got back up and I think he would take out margo.

He had one of the best hooks in boxing in his prime. Margarito would have the best suite at the house in Hook City.

What else can Margo do defensively? He fights like a caveman eating shot after shot at 147...That crap wont work at 154 or higher, so he will continue to reside at 147...Margo would get k.o.d by Tito...Bottom line...he has no d and Tito would wreck him by k.o.
