If Mayweather can take Mosleys shots he can take Matthysses shots. He would beat him easy to a UD. Lucas is one dimensional but relies on power and swarming to win fights.

He's basically just got power and that's it. He's overhyped on this forum but he is a good fighter.

Bradley is more of a challenge.

I expect a very clear UD for Floyd, but it won't be easy to keep Matthysse of him. Floyd should be on his toes the entire fight.

    Floyd picks him apart.

Matthyse is way too crude for Floyd.

Hatton was a come forward slugger, and possibly a better one than Matthyse and we saw what Floyd did to him.

I saw about 4 / 5 rounds of Floyd struggling with Hattons footspeed and in / out movement before taking over, lets not re-write history.

Floyd beats Matthyse easy on the outside, 120-108. What would be interesting however, would Floyd have the balls to step inside and fight him from the pocket?

He stood pretty much toe to toe with Cotto and Mosely.

I dont think he'd be afraid to do so.

Floyd has never been found wanting on the inside.

dont get me wrong matthyse is a good fighter and i love to watch him

but he doesent have the best handspeed and his IQ is lightyears behind mayweathers

i feel mayweather has taken alot harder punchers in his time (even recently id probly say the fight would go very much like ortiz, but possibly even easier for mayweather as i dont see matthyse applying constant pressure for more then 2 rounds)

I dont think the same comparison can be made because of the volume difference that would come from him compared to Mosley, Cotto also has no right hand to speak of yet he was touching Floyd was regularity with the jab.

I dont think Matthyse has enough strings to his bow to beat Mayweather but his style would make for a more interesting fight than someone trying to box with him ala Bradley or (probably?) smother him like Guerrero.

He's too slow and his mode of attack wouldn't be varied enough to unlock a Mayweather defence.

    no

lucas is a very poor mans version of kotsya tszyu.

and a prime mayweather probably would UD a prime tszyu.

Of course it would be a difficult fight. Mathyse is a devestating body puncher, with good boxing skills, and a solid chin.

He does lack speed, but Floyd is getting older, and will have to continuously move to avoid taking big shots to his body, especially that straight right hand that appears to go through his opponents.

Love Lucas but Floyd is just on a different skill level

He would give a spirited effort and Mayweather would be very uncomfortable at times but he wouldnt find his targent nearly enough and would get hit a lot himself
