If they fought right now, would you pick Matthysse to knock out Crawford or do you think Crawford would be able to outbox Matthysse for 12 rounds?

Crawford is a lot harder to catch than Peterson, for 50/50 odds, I'd bet my money on Crawford winning.

No, he has a chance but I see Crawford thoroughly outboxing him.

Being a Matthysse fan myself, I'd have a hard time betting against Crawford even if he fought a top WW like Thurman or Brook, let alone a Jr WW like Lucas.

Matthysse will knock Crawford out, however, Crawford is a very protected boxer, his referee will be there to help him, the judges would be owned by Crawford and the boxing commission, but if the fight is on the level, I would pick Matthysse. I would pick Provodnikov to knock Crawford out..................

I don't know if he knocks him out, but I think he outworks him.

Let's be clear, without the glass chin Dulorme would've beat Crawford he was well up in rounds.

I know one thing Matthysse is many levels better than dolorme and he won 4 of the first 5 rds against Crawford not to mention the 130 pound Gamboa hurt Crawford bad

    No he didn't.

Crawford is a thinking fighter and is normally a slow starter. When he gets into gear he's hard to beat.
With that said It would be a pick em fight IMO I hope we get it sooner rather than later.

90% is a huge overstatement.. gamboa did well early on but as soon as crawford switched southpaw and started timing him gamboa wasnt outboxing him anymore.

I disagree Crawford is a slow starter. Gamboa's speed bothered Crawford early in that fight more than anything, Crawford is used to being the faster man in the fight and when you face someone who's faster than you it can cause problems. After he adjusted to it he was fine and made easy work of Gamboa.

Crawford isn't protected. He's fought good competition. When have the judges saved him? He's won all his fights fair and square.
