    Didn't I just list five?

Oh, as a pro, Stiverne 1, for instance, he won a lopsided decision with basically one hand after the fourth. He's shown excellent boxing in many of his KOs, too. What was "wild" about the Breazeale KO? The Fury knockdowns? The Ortiz KO in the return?

Wilder's skills look like freaking Pernell Whitaker when you put him next to Max Baer.

Oh dear, go and watch some Carnera!
You are missing the key point here.

Fury figured out that Wilder could not fight on the back foot.

He just backed him up, and took away his nuclear weapon.
Wilder is a good finisher, but his reputation as a finisher, is built almost exclusively against B grade opposition.

Baer and Louis built their reputations as finishers, against the other top fighters of their era!

I'm not comparing Wilder to Louis. I'm comparing him to Max Baer. And the guys Max Baer knocked out (and couldn't knock out) aren't head and shoulders above Wilder's opposition IN THE LEAST.

Andy Miller? Cecil Myart? Willie Davies? Cecil Smith? Tony Souza? Jim Braddock? King Levinsky? Arthur DeKuh? Tom Heeney? Paulino Uzcudan? Johnny Risko? Les Kennedy? Ernie Owens? Tommy Farr? Nearly 30 times guys (including these people) went the distance or beat Baer.

I've seen all the same Max Baer fights everyone has. Wilder goes 10 or 15 with ANY of those guys and people are laughing their asses off. If Wilder went the distance with ALL of them, like Baer did, we wouldn't even be talking about Wilder as a puncher.

And, seriously, when are you guys going to let this Wilder thing go already?

You can look at his amateur and pro record. You can see his amateur and pro fights. You can tell by a simple scan he won all his amateur titles by decision.

So why would you say Wilder never would've made it out of the amateurs without his power, when his power was rarely on display in the amateurs?

Are you THAT uninformed about the guy?

If someone got on here and bashed Max Baer, and said something as DUMB about Baer as you just said about Wilder, you guys would go off on him.

So do your homework before bashing Wilder. Because you guys just look dumb when you don't.

The best men that Baer stopped, are head and shoulders above the best men that Wilder stopped.

I will make that statement with conviction!

Forgive me, I clearly need to do more research into Wilder's amateur record, which I never saw as being particularly relevant.

To that extent your criticism is justified.

However, the meat that we have to deal with, is Wilder's record as a professional.

He clearly fell in love with his power, and decided that his right hand was a death ray.

He clearly decided that he didn't need much else.

I don't think that he is going to turn Tunney any day soon!

    No.

    I think he'd beat AJ.

He's too hittable to beat Wilder.

    Fury schools him

But I favour him over Whyte, Povetkin and Ortiz, so he'd be a solid top 4 HW and potentially a title holder.

    No way does he unify.

Are you expecting much more out of Wilder?

No, but I have low expectations for his future.

He is a winner, which means that he sucks at losing.

I don't expect him to rebound well.

Also, time is not on his side, with his style!

Wilder`s career is in a very bad place, will he get that third fight with Fury? He just called out Whyte who is calling out Ortiz.

He asks for a list of fights where he shows skill and u post a clip of a fight where he lost every round besides scoring the lucky KO punch against a very average contender

That's quite a proclamation of ignorance.

You're sure you want to stand by this?
