Would Max Baer give Ali a tougher fight than Chuvalo did in '66?

Well, concentrate instead upon becoming King of the Idiots.

Keep using the word "****" repeatedly, for no other reason than the fact that you simply have nothing else of value to say.

Keep hurling insults and abuse to those who dare have a different opinion from your own.

If you can keep this up, I'm certain that you'll have earned that championship in no time.

    We'll be rooting for you.:good

Max would be tailor made for Ali. Stands straight up. Throws one punch at a time. Has no serviceable jab and his overall skills were crude. No contest.

Baer had a potent overhand right, long reach, and could have given Ali a lot of trouble, IMO.

No, the ******* champ was your mother, for giving birth to an idiot like you when clearly abortion would have been the better option. A clear case of "what was she thinking"?

And now, to actually answer the original question:

To be honest, I think that while Baer packed a much bigger punch, and was just about as durable as George, his tendency to look for the one big punch and to clown when things weren't going his way means that he's probably not going to do a hell of a lot better than Chuvalo was in terms of winning rounds.

In terms of troubling Ali, and giving him a tough fight, I think he might stun Ali once or twice, but that Muhammad would regroup, and graudually accelerate the attack, bust him up in the later rounds, and either score a 13th or 14th round stoppage due to cuts, or cruise to a wide UD on all the cards. In comparison to Chavaluo, who swarmed and fought at a pretty fast pace throughout the course of the 15 rounds, and basically made Ali look not altogether comfortable throughout that entire fight, I therefore think that the fight with Baer is maybe a little easier as a result, based upon style more than anything else.

I think offensivly Bear was better than Chuvalo. But Baer was far less durable. The accumilated punches would wear on Maxie & he wouldn't be able to last the distance against Ali. Muhammed would probably take him out in about the tenth or eleventh.

    Coward and slime.
Talk to me and not my mother.
All I need is 30 seconds in the ring with you.

Baer was very durable he was stopped 3 times in 81 fights twice by Nova when he was on the way down in his last fights these were tkos and once by Louis when he was counted out fully conscious kneeling. Many big hitters failed to dent his chin and Louis said he never saw anyone take his punches like Baer. Chuvalo was stopped twice in 93 fights ,by the 2 big hitters he faced. The term far less durable is not accurate, imo.

Uttering meaningless threats from behind the keyboard....Figured as much.

I'm probably wasting my time, but...

    Consider this...

You may not have insulted anyone's mother, but your first few posts on this topic were telling everyone and their dog to "**** off" and insulting everyone who disagreed with you for no good reason.

The saying "treat others the way you wish to be treated" applies in this case. Had you simply stated your opinion on the matter, without feeling the need to insult people, than this conversation wouldn't have happened.

As it stands, you acted like a complete and total *******, and shouldn't be the least bit shocked at the fact that others called you on the type of behavior, and give you a taste of your own medicine.

I mean, seriously...didn't your mother teach you any manners?

    Or was she too busy...

You know something? I'm not even going to bother.

It would just be too easy...:D

Oh, and since we're on the topic...why don't you give your opinion about this without insulting anyone, or telling everyone who disgrees with you to **** off?

I seriously don't think that you have it in you to do that...But will be happy to acknowlegde that I'm wrong if you prove otherwise.

So what exactly are you doing here?

The only reason for being on this site is to discuss boxing history with other like minded people.

If the other people on this site didnt hold radicaly diferent opinions to you there would not be any point in you being here.

We bounce ideas off eachother. Some of the posters that I respect the most are ones who have verry diferent views to myself.

If you want to make everybody on this site have opinions that are a carbon copy of yours then you are doomed to fail.
