Cotto beat a better Shane. Floyd beat a better Judah though beating a better Mosley means more. Other than Paul Williams, you can't really say Cotto didn't fight anyone he could. Then again, I doubt Floyd would face Williams either though I would give him lots of props if he moved to 154. Really just as long as Williams would be fine with whatever weight they could possibly fight at then I'd give Mayweather lots of props. BTW, resume is just who you fought and I have yet to see Floyd fight Pacquiao.

Hatton beat a champion at that weight. Even though Marquez is miles upon miles more skilled then Cotto he would lose to most welters because of his size.

Shane was coming off a dominating victory over Margarito. The Mosley Cotto fought hadnt had a significant victory in years. Mosley was probably the same instead of fighting a B level fighter in Cotto, he fought an elite.

Resume is who you've beaten, not who you've fought.

Cotto will never fight Paul Williams because Top Rank doesnt put any of their fighters in the ring with fighters who they think will beat them. As to why Pacquiao and Cotto are probably gonna unify at super welter, without having fought the better fighters there like Martinez, Williams or Sergey.

Why do you insist on mentioning titles, like they mean anything in 2010?

Marquez would probably beat Collazo too, doesn't make him a proper Welter, neither does it Hatton.

Hopkins lost his first fight. In the minds of current boxing fans you ain't gonna amount to **** if that happens.

I'm my view, a lot of the posters here are casual fans. They get behind one fighter and once they lose.......move on to another unbeaten guy. It's a pointless exercise.

Collazo is a good fighter. He gave Mosley problems until he hurt his shoulder and probably should have gotten the decision over Berto. The fact that Hatton beat him is a feather in his cap.

If Mayweather had lost the decision to Castillo the first time. He would be considered far greater.

Then again, Cotto had a better style for Mosley. Also, Mosley was more active before fighting Cotto especially in 06 when he fought Vargas twice. Mosley had two good showings overall against Vargas(yes FV was shot but still had a good effort in the first fight) and Collazo. Mosley was inactive before facing Mayweather and that's not even debatable. I disagree with you on resume but do agree that Pacquiao-Cotto II is unfortunately likely to happen.

    Lol

Bull****. He would have lost his zero which is key of his market value thereby undermining his overall status.

Absolutely not. That generally only applies in a case where it's like he moved up to fight Andre Dirrell at 168lbs and lost a close fight.
