Top Rank Promotions will not negotiate with Golden Boy Promotions regarding a potential mega-fight between boxing superstars Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather Jr., according to a report from ESPN's Dan Rafael. Rafael was informed by Mayweather's adviser, Leonard Ellerbe, that Top Rank chief executive officer Bob Arum "is not interested in pursuing a fight between Mayweather and Pacquiao at this time."
Mayweather is coming off a knockout victory against Victor Ortiz last September 17, while Pacquiao defeated rival Juan Manuel Marquez via a controversial majority decision last Saturday in Las Vegas.
Golden Boy Promotions CEO Richard Schaefer informed Rafael that Arum is pursuing a fourth Pacquiao-Marquez bout instead of a Pacquiao-Mayweather bout.
Arum said immediately after the Pacquiao-Marquez bout that he will talk to Team Marquez about another match, while Pacquiao said he will be willing to fight Marquez a fourth time.

As a REAL JMM FAN (my #1 boxer & Im also Mexican) JMM may have a slightly better chance but comon guys, same result. Styles make fights, both counter punchers, floyd has superior D & is bigger. It is what it is, JMM accepted his defeat & thats why he is not pursuing another fight with floyd. Plus I think a fight with rios,alvarado,garcia,khan,lucas would be more exciting any way.

Ray/Hearns both did extensive testing up to the bout. Both were clean and willing to fight

Pac refused when Mayweather asked for it. Mayweather didn't want to fight because Pac was roided up to his eyeballs.

 

Floyd fighting guerrero is a ****ing joke, Guerrero isnt ****, Canelo vs Trout, I like Trout in that fight, But I will not sleep on Canelo, Both guys are equally un proven this is their first real test..... Canelo has improved but I suggest the experience Trout has in working with Margarito and fighting abroad in places like Mexico will benefit him in this fight....
