Winning 4 , and being even on the scorecards until he gassed, yeah I'd say so.

People put too much stock in the cotto fight for both mayweather and pacquiao being honestly cotto looked significantly better in the fights he had leading up to the Mayweather fight than he did leading up to the Pacquaio fight not to mention the lack of a trainer and him dealing with a death in the family, as far as how the fights played out Mayweather had a bloody nose but didn't look too worse for ware while Pacquiao had a broken ear drum and had his head taped up after the fight apples to oranges man.
Another thing it's crazy how they'll mention a Mayweather opponent losing 3 maybe 4 years before he fought them as a reason why it's not a good fight but ignore the fact that most of Pacquiao's opponents since 2003 were coming off of a loss in the previous fight.

Lederman had it even to the 9th round. 8th was one of the most decisive rounds and won by Cotto. Every round minus the 8th and 12th was super competitive. Most people who scored the fight gave Cotto 4 rounds, and most of those came before the 9th which is when he gassed.
