I'm Mayweathers number 1 fan and have a signed IV of his but even I have to say its extremely unlikely.

No shame on Hatton for losing to Cortez though. That guy even managed to take Calzaghe into deep waters during the Hopkins fight

U dont think so? Hatton knocked himself out by fighting aggressively to the bitter end. I respect that, he went out on his shield like a wounded bull.

Another ref does not really change this in my opinion. Floyd might not have punching power at 147 but alot of fighters have stated he is incredibly strong so bullying on the inside would just lead to floyd tying him up.

Im not sure how strong hatton was supposed to be but he was just moving up to 147 was he not?

So lets say you are right. Floyd pays off judges in your eyes he also pays off refs and he also pays off anti doping agencies

    1. Why doesnt everyone do it

    2. How much would you theorise it would cost floyd every fight to secure the win via bribery? Would he even have enough money to afford that lavish lifestyle floyd shows when he was active (let alone retirement)

Could he have bribed a doping agency once on a sample that wasnt masked properly, its certainly possible because i would imagine he would have the money to do so.

So you have no proof or reason why? There's more proof that Margarito cheated than Floyd having the refs in his pocket..lol

I thought he owned the commission and judges.. Why does he need a ref if he automatically wins because the judges will give him rounds? lol Is it because he don't have God given talent like you say? You have him losing to all these inferior guys and say he only wins because he buys his wins, but then you say he could have fought plenty more prime tough fighters and won because he had all this great talent.. Can't even make sense..lol This is why you're labeled a hater...lol

Same. To this day it was the most obviously bought and paid for reffing I've ever seen in a fight. Hatton still loses mind.

everyone who paid attention saw that FMj was busting Hatton up on the inside as well as the outside.

Will admit, your two choices are great and the opposite as bias

Cortez was as bad as they get in that fight but Floyd still would have won. We lost though, shitty refereeing spoilt what could have been a quality scrap.

I'll never understand how people can say that the ref heavily favored one fighter and at the same time say that the outcome would have been the she regardless...

    Salido, doe.

Cortex a disgrace that night. No sure it would have made all that much difference but it nullified hattons style. The thing that made the fight interesting was the clash of styles the boxer v the pressure fighter. Only the ref didn't allow any sort of pressure by jumping in every two seconds. Robbed everyone of the fight they paid to see. Between that and hatton having to move to 147 negated his strengths a bit too much. Mayweather was faster at 140 himself but it was a bigger disadvantage for hatton imo. Lost his strength advantage that he needed.

Think everyone knows after watching the fight Floyd was a little bit too good allround. But cortex ruined any chance of an upset. Home cookings never great but when it stops people imposing their style its pointless having the fight.

Still think it was a decent performance from hatton. A lot better than a lot of other guys put up against Floyd. Geurrerro. Marquez. Mosley apart from the first two rounds. And a good few others. Floyd wasnt liking hattons quick feet.

Showed his class in the end tho.

As a former Hatton nuthugger who was there on the night, I have to say this is utter bollocks. The ref made the fight frustrating to watch, but ultimately Floyd was better in every department. Hatton may have lasted the full 12 or bagged a couple more rounds, but there was no chance he was winning that fight. He beat Tsyzu with some iffy reffing from his uncle Dave Parris, so he can't complain too much.

This fight is a classic example of

"If you repeat something often enough it becomes a truth"

".... but it wouldnt have mattered anyway"

In fact it would have mattered a great deal. Floyd got a beating from Marcus Maidana. Hatton was ten times the fighter Maidana ever was
