Would Mayweather have lasted 3 vs Hatton with a neutral ref?

Not just Floyd. Every time someone like Floyd beats a guy like Hatton, these fools always cry about the refs. Ward/Kovalev, the ref and most recently Horn/Crawford, the ref. LOL You see a trend there my friend? Let's not forget the hypocrisy they display. Ward was allowed to rough up Kovalev they cried, yet complain that Hatton wasn't allowed to fight "his fight" which is a much rougher style than Wards. LOL Fools!

 

Negative! Floyd did not bring up Hatton to 140. Floyd wanted both Cotto and Hatton at 140 and both made excuses not to fight. Arum said, at the time, that Cotto was too green and would be ready in about 1-1/2 years. Hatton said he wanted 3 fights in the US so the fight would be huge. There is video of both making these statements. So both fighters were belt holders, along with Floyd, saying no at the time they were all in the same division.

 

When I read a thread like this I just harken back to Tszyu Hatton which someone named Dave Parriss "reffed". In that fight Dave Parriss was far, far worse than Cortez was in May Hatton, as Diamond Dave put on a clinic of corruption, bias and incompetence to which NOT ONE HATTON FAN EVER ACKNOWLEDGES, lol. Usually Hatton's supporters say what a great performance it was by Ricky. But they are silent about Parriss. Hypocricy at its most extreme.

 

They couldn't beat him in real life so now all they can do is try and beat him hypothetically lmao.

 

Paris always favoured hatton. There's no argument there. Home cooking happens. No one would have minded so much if cortez let mayweather away with things. But to totally nullify someones style is the problem.

Hattons only chance was to pressure him. What chance do you have if the ref jumps in every 2 seconds. Ruined the fight that people paid good money to watch probably on the basis of the clash of styles. We,d watched Floyd box his way past everyone on the way to the fight. And hatton pressure everyone into defeat. Got to the big one and the ref stops hatton fighting his style.

Wasn't just a bad performance from cortez...he ruined the fight.

 

PBF beat Hatton at his own game and knocked him out 50-0-0 deal with it.

Hatton's just lucky he didn't fight Floyd after he beat Gatti. That Floyd would have spanked him like a kid who got caught stealing from the cookie jar.

However Parriss favored English fighters. Check out Rogan Sexton and Mab Khan and see large examples yourself for bias and incompetence. Cortez didnt ruin the fight. He prevented filthy Hatton from getting away with the garbage that he did throughout his career. Hatton was a dirty, dirty fighter, and he and his fans expected that he should get away with it. It is crazy and biased that people, including Hatton himself, are angry because he wasn't allowed to break the rules. Having said that, Cortez was garbage in the Hopkins Calzaghe fight as he let Bhop get away with the bull**** that Hatton's fans expected Ricky to get away with against May, although on a smaller scale. You want to take Cortez to task, at least do it in that fight.

Listening to it...you,d think boxing was a no contact sport. Hatton was a rough fighter. Got in and ruffed opponents up. Theres no point having a fight if your not gonna let him fight his style. It was always abour the clash of styles. Then cortez stopped anything inside. If he stopped it if it got rough fair enough....the guy stopped them fighting inside altogether.... didn't allow the guys time to fight out of it etc. Then allowed Hopkins to grab and hold on no problem against calzaghe.

Even if your a Floyd fan...its still a referee spoiling a fight regardless. If Ricky done something wrong penalize him if need be. But don't penalize him before he done something wrong. If cortez had giving Floyd the benefit of the doubt in a couple of decisions...people would get it. Home favours always a thing. But to jump all over them to protect mayweather in case hatton got rough...before it happened. Its a bit like come on get out the way.
