Then who appoints English refs to ref English fights, the fighter's camps? Not just there either. I'll never forget when Hatton fought Collazo and knocked Luis down, punching while he was holding the back of Luis' head, a tactic he loved to employ. No warning, no nothing. And although Hatton was REELING at the end of that one, he was awarded the victory by, Im pretty certain, a point. You are correct in the assumption that the cash cow gets taken care of.

I must admit I would have liked to have seen Hatton being allowed to fight the way he normally fought just to see how Floyd would have coped with his brawling style , Gortez probably denied all boxing fans the chance to see Floyds boxing skills at their very best just to keep Ricky off him .

I am an old man, and it has been corrupt all of my life. And from what I've read, it has been corrupt for all of history.

I agree with you The only difference today from the 50;s Mob days is they don't try to hide it today. The State commissions have taken over from the mob they have carte blanche to do as they wish. There is no one with the power to stop them

With all this 'cash cow' protecting via corruption, you'd think they'd eventually throw old washed up Floyd under the bus eventually instead of letting him fight until he was 40, retire again, and leave without building a new 'cash cow' by beating him like him vs De La Hoya.. They saved and milked him, but let him walk and now have no one really.. The only guy making crazy money is Canelo and he can't afford to pay off refs...lol

Mayweather would have won even quicker. He was the physically stronger and the rough stuff would have suited him more

Floyd beat Hatton at his own game and knocked him out.
