Cotto like to fight at his own pace throwing about 60 punches around, he has a brilliant jab and a good body attack. Exactly what you need when fighting Floyd Mayweather. The fighters he has problems with are relentless types like Margarito, Pacquiao or even Shane Mosley. He would have a chance in this fight; in fact i would have favoured him after the Mosley fight but now i think he may well be finished.

How did Hatton give Floyd trouble? Taking numerous right hands to the dome then getting knocked out is giving trouble?

Hatton was a far better pressure fighter then Cotto ever was. Look how much trouble Cotto had trying to walk down Malignaggi as compared to how easily Hatton got to Malignaggi.

Floyd by stoppage.. Might have been a good fight a while ago. I think I remember Floyd trying to make that fight back at 140. That would have been a good one!

 

cotto would have got whipped at 140 days or 147.mayweather out boxes him until he get hurt and then stops him.cotto vs mayweather before the margo fight cotto would go all 12 and might win a few rds.cotto after the pac fight will get shut out.

if he cant see pacs counters coming at him he want see mayweathers either.but a single shot is eaiser to stop then a 4 piece combo with blindn speed but i think

pre margo, definitely cotto. today, at 147-154, in cotto's last great performance, an aggressive cotto pounds on floyd. even today floyd won't face him. cotto is past it and should be a high reward low risk, but i don't think so. if cotto fights him like he did shane with the jab and body attack, cotto can still upset. i think floyd will land the cleaner shots, but cotto with possibly his uncle back in his corner or any decent trainer, CAN beat anyone. i think someone like a nazim richardson will resurrect Junito back to the fighting machine he was.

 

Naz might be excellent for Cotto. He has took too much punishment recently. I could see Naz turning Cotto into a well-schooled boxer/puncher rather than a steam rolling puncher/boxer.

 

Cotto was always a mediocre fighter. His step up in class just proved it. He was getting rocked by Torres and Corley. Struggling against Malignaggi. Getting rocked by Judah to the point of having to hit him low to avoid being stopped. Margarito just proved he was never nothing special. Cotto folds under pressure, great fighters dont fold under pressure. Mayweather has never folded under pressure.

Cotto could have taken the easy way out when he was cut by headbut against Clottey. He fought on and won. You do not give the man the credit he deserves. You Floyd boys hate on anyone who has fought superior competition. It's really pathetic.

 

no point in voting , Floyd thinks the fight is too dangerous and claims Cotto on steroids.
