    One could also say:

Charging like an animalistic beast with both hands flying and no covering up will certainly not beat Mayweather. Fighters with varying skillsets have all tried the same tact Pacquiao brings to the ring with him every fight, and it is yet to work.

I see it going Floyd's way with little moments where Pac gets off a couple of good shots. I don't think Pac will be able to land on Floyd flush because Floyd is going to be extra careful this time around. This fight may look like Whitaker vs Chavez I know Pac is faster than Chavez but I feel Floyd we take that away with a sharp jab and working the ring.

It'll be great for purists but the casual fans will not like it when Mayweather makes it his fight and wins based on a far better skill set.

If Floyd comes forward like he has against other southpaws, it should be a very very special fight. If he just shoulder rolls and pot shots, it will be a boring UD for Floyd.

Floyd win no doubt. Pacman will be dangerous early but Floyd skill will bust Pacman up and I see a late fight stoppage because Pacman is there to be hit more often.

agree. Floyd's gotta show something more then he has in the past to beat Pacquiao. Otherwise he'll just end up like Mosley or Clottey. Floyd doesn't have the chin those guys have though.

The fight if it happens is likely to play out like Whitaker/Chavez. Mayweather is Whitaker. If the judging is not as crappy. Mayweather wins one-sidedly.

Marquez in his last fight against Pac connected around 14 punches per round. He managed this with counters in backpedalled mode. This will probably be the blueprint that Floyd will use against Manny. But there the problem lies for Floyd.

Floyd's punchoutput in backpedalled mode is not high enough to secure a decisive UD against Manny. If we look back at Mayweather/Hatton (Hatton being the pressure fighter), Floyd managed to connect around 13 punches per round.
If Floyd wants to secure an easy UD, he has to connect more than Marquez did while not getting hit back. But by doing so, the risk of getting caught by Pacquiao rises dangerously. Above that, Pacquiao's defense and offense are better than Hatton's.

    Now you know Floyd's dilemma.

The one thing you fail to realize is that Floyd can in fight and Manny can't. Floyd is going to keep this fight on the outside and inside. Mid range is where Manny can hurt him and Floyd is smarter than that. You guys keeps mentioning Manny's offense but you fail to realize that Floyd has a great offense as well and he can put punches together quickly. I expect Floyd to fight Manny the way he fought Gatti. No I am not comparing Manny to Gatti.

yes the fight will be a dull affair because Maywether can only win by limiting any chances Pac has at landing. Its like Germany in World cups make it an ugly defensive chess match. Mayweather doesnt have the offensive gifts of a Paquiao and if he fights straight up and we have an enjoyable scrap Floyd wont make to rd 10, he knowS it, we now it, everyone does.

Manny can in-fight. Just take a look at his early fights.
The way Floyd fought Gatti won't work against a southpaw.
No doubt that Floyd has a good offense but whenever he fires a shot, he risks to get countered as well. Manny is also a fast counterpuncher.
If Floyd is smart, he will fight the same way than Marquez did: just backpedall, wait for the counter, and match Pacquiao's speed and agressiveness. But that's asking too much of a retired grandpa.
