Would Mcall be able to hang with a prime Tyson?

Why wouldn't he? He sparred hundreds and hundreds of rounds and was never sparred. Tyson didn't dent true iron chins like Green's so he isn't doing it to McCall.

And I wouldn't want to be hit on the god damn thighs and hips if I was getting crap sparring wages either.

Looked to me he didnt like getting hit to the body. He was the one turning, Tyson was throwing his punches correctly to the mid section.

Mccall would give any fighter problems. If he had spent more time boxing and training instead of taking drugs he could have been a good champion.

For a few rounds, McCall probably takes Tyson's best shots and throws back some good punches himself. The fight is well over before the 10th round, Tyson by KO, especially if he goes to the body early against McCall.

Tyson isn't stopping McCall. I'd expect a prime Tyson to win by a shutout or close to one but a stoppage is pretty unlikely. McCall would have very little chance though in this one.

    McCall could be stopped.

Though Tyson's short stature would make it increasingly difficult if McCall fought to survive much like Tyson's opponents.

I think Lewis could have and would have stopped McCall in thier rematch.

I think in a genuine pro fight, McCall could go the 12 with prime Tyson.
Not just because of his chin but also because all that experience from sparring.

He'd lose by a pretty large margin, maybe get two or three rounds, but he would do the distance and remain competitive.

McCall would literally hang in there until the final bell.

Also, McCall kept his 1 punch KO power until the final bell.

Tyson never knocked anyone out past... what, the 8th/

Mcall gets a 12 round Ruddock 2 like beating AT BEST at worst the refereee stops the fight after he sees the beating McCall is getting.

Nah Tyson was a beast when he was younger, he stopped Ribalta in the 10th round of a fierce fight. He also handed out some serious late round beat downs. Most of the guys who made it the distance with Tyson just held on for dear life. You cant crush everyone. Honestly speaking Mcall was pretty limited. He wasnt that quick, wasnt a big puncher, and didnt have that much in his arsenal. He just had a great chin. Tyson would have put an serious beating on him in my opinion.

McCall had VERY underrated power. His delivery system was atrocious but look at what he did to Akiwande and Maskaev.

Many moons ago I was privileged to watch Tyson spar with McCall...........Oliver was proud , talked a good game and actually let his hands go in the first round aka competitive.............by the end of the second his spirit was noticeable diminshed due to heavy artillery up and down stairs.............after that it was survival mode and he certainly protected that "iron" chin by all means necessary.
