I Don't believe he was damaged goods when he beat Davis in a brilliant performance or against Brown to a lesser degree. With that velocity he didn't need to get hit. Leonard used his velocity in that evasive clever way and significantly reduced the number of punches he took. So it was Taylor's respect for the Philly style that did him in.
