Fury hasn't fought any elusive skillful fighters especially not on the level of Spinks, so how Fury would do vs a smaller skillful Heavyweight. Is debatable right now until he fights Usyk.

Fury if so chose would envelope Spinks, if Mr Spinks had the pop in his punch that anything resembled Wilder, then in tandem with his skillset he might give Fury something to think about.
Fury is not a slow moving behemoth, so elusiveness of Spinks less of issue for Fury, and Furys gas tank is good enough to keep up with the movement of Spinks.

As Louis said about Conn "He can run but he can't hide".

Not a good match up for Mr Spinks

As i said its all speculation right now, when or if Fury fights Usyk. We'll have a better opinion, on how Fury does vs smaller skillful Heavyweights of the past.

The only evidence we have right now is Fury struggling with Cunningham, who was a smaller Cruiserweight/Heavyweight.

Indeed as any such fantasy match up it is speculation and something we will never definitively have the answer too.

Cunningham most definitely is a reasonable point of reference to raise regarding smaller heavyweight, however Ali got decked by Cooper a smaller heavyweight earlier in his career, i do not think Cooper would have managed that feat with Ali later on.

Fury uses his size much more effectively nowadays, and as the Vince Lombardi Quote goes:
"It's not whether you get knocked down, it's whether you get up"

I am very much looking forward to a Fury vs Usyk bout, and if i honest i would like Usyk to win, firstly as it would prove you don't have to be a behemoth to prevail, and secondly Fury might do less talking or at least not be having centre stage as he does by being the champ.

You make good points and i agree with you, i think the Usyk fight would definitely answer alot of questions. On how Fury does against smaller skillful Heavyweights of the past.

Well we saw how ex cruiser weight who can't punch Steve Cunnigham did against Fury. He was leading on the scorecards and dropped and hurt Fury badly. I think Spinks would also drop Fury and then go on to win a decision.

Spinks was a crazy arkward boxer. A great LHW IMO. He might confuse Fury, slap him without getting hit back, and win a decision,
but I don't think so. He was shaking in his boots vs the other Tyson, and maybe would do the same vs this Tyson.

Fury win, 70/30 percent chance of this outcome occurring.

    LOL.

There is no way that Michael Spinks would beat Tyson Fury. That is genuinely laughable.

I think it comes down to how you operationally define "put up a better fight." Spinks would likely not drop Fury and get him into trouble like Wilder did, but Spinks was very intelligent and definitely could take advantage of Fury not being prepared and/or having a bad night. Fury would always be the favorite, but I could see Spinks stealing a decision on the right night.

Lol Steve Cunnigham can't punch at all yet he was able to hurt and knock down Fury. Do you people even watch boxing? The backward comments you people constantly make kind of prove you don't really watch boxing. Tyson Fury can't take a punch. You don't have to be a huge puncher to knock him down. The reason he doesn't get knock down more is because the low level talent he consistently faces and the fact Tyson Fury usually runs and holds through most of his fights.

If Cunnigham could drop Fury then so could Spinks.
