    Most likely not.

You need to keep fighters disciplined.

things in his favour: he has an encyclopaedic knowledge of boxing and has seen and done it all.

I remember Roach in one of the 24/7's I think (?), talked mentioned an instance where Tyson came to him for a job as a training assitant. Roach kindly refuse telling him he's not got the right temperemant to work with and train the kids.

possibly, but "do as I say, not as I do". Coaches don't necessarily have to be as disciplined or as fit as their students.

I think he should be a referee instead.

Tactically yes, he has the eye. Every other way no.

Things going against him: He's liable to be jailed at any moment, show up drunk, high, or throw a fit and knock his own fighter out.

if he was 100% focused on training, then i would love to say yes, but he's so unpredictable that my answer is a no, he would not be a good trainer.

c'mon, that would be pretty cool though, wouldn't it?

seriously though, I think some fighters would benefit from his training. Audley Harrison for one. Tyson would train the timidness out of that ****er.
