You haven't watched much early Tyson, have you?

Get acquainted with him on Youtube and then come back and do some more head-slapping.

You made my point, thank you. You think Tyson wins because he looks more like how you want a boxer to look. He appears more impressive. The thing is, the result IS what's important. Both Wlad and Mike beat and usually KO'd a basically similar level of competition. Mike looks more exciting doing it, so he must be better. Not necessarily. It doesn't always work that way. Wlad had setbacks that everyone always brings up, but those weren't his only fights, just like Tyson's setbacks weren't his only fights. I personally argue that W. Klitschko - Mike Tyson is a 50-50 fight. A lot of people here automatically assume that it is a whitewash in favor of Mike... and why? Because he "looked better." Prime Klitschko never saw anything like Mike, sure, but it goes the other way. Nobody Mike fought from 85 to 91 was on the level of Wlad Klitschko.

Klitschko tends to take longer to KO his opponents. He has developed a style that works for him. He doesn't mow everyone down in 1-3 rounds, because that style got him gassed or caught back in the day. Fighting cautiously, maximizing his physical advantages... that works for him. Clearly. And... Wlad isn't exactly some lumbering, unathletic chump. He's a lot quicker than people think. His athleticism is part of his big advantage. Byrd admitted it wasn't the power that did him in, but the speed. He couldn't move fast enough to get away from Wlad. Other vicitms, including relatively quick heavies have said that. His underrated speed, his ATG jab, his judgement of distance and timing, his physical strength, his own one-punch power... this may not allow him to beat Tyson, but it does make him a much more dangerous opponent than people give him credit for. If Mike can't knock him out in 6... than Wlad wins it.

And yes, as a side note, Sultan Ibragimov does last more than 45 seconds. I have him losing, sure, but it goes at least 7-8 rounds. Plenty of Tyson's 80's opponents lose to Ibragimov.

"You think Tyson wins because he looks more like how you want a boxer to look" ...

That's not what I said. I said the argument for Tyson is based on the visual evidence of his outsized talent and ability, not his resume (which always depends on who was around in a given fighter's era).

For anyone thinking Tyson takes Vitali out.

    Lets think about this.

Look at the guys who went 8+ rounds with Tyson, now look at the guys Tyson destroyed.

Now, examine Vitali as a fighter, and as a person.

    Youve got a

    - 6'7'' inch fighter
    - with good reflexes when at his best
    - with a lean back, hard to hit style
    - with a toughness, and also who wont be intimidated

    - Then, on top of his size, on top of his reflexes, on top of his style, on top of his own personal toughness and his own intimidation, add on to that the fact that he has an almost ATG level chin.... and I just question how anyone can seriously think Tyson stops Vitali.

Edges him over 12 rounds? Fair enough.... but some of these posts like 'destroys, ko's, ect, ect.... not happening.

And if someone wants to bring up the Lewis fight to point to how Vitali would be stopped. Lewis, besides being close to a boxing giant himself, is also one of vitalis hardest head to head matchups in boxing history, and imo, the best person in all of history to matchup with vitali.... Vit vs Lewis and Vit vs Tyson have no bearing on one another.

    Just imo
