Wlad went busy and undefeated for 10 years whilst holding the title.

Mike lasted a few years at the top.

If you want to talk about out of prime results we can start with guys like Danny Williams or McBride but that would be a dishonest approach, like what you have done. It is best to look at the primes of fighters, especially when they have extremely long primes at the top of the division.

Mike Tyson is the most recognized fighter on the Planet because he electrified the division like nobody else since.............his prime literally ended 30 years ago going to the can and he still puts more seats in a arena/PPV then WK ever will even in his mid 50's......30 years from now nobody except some Euros will remember WK

Mike Tyson is Heavyweight Boxing, end of.

But I give you that, WK has dedication and a certain level of skill which translates into stinking the joint out against ham and eggers but he is not and never was a born fighter. fact.

I don't even entirely disagree with you. I am Tyson's age. He was my hero in my youth (later Julio when Mike went into the joint)...

But I think you are underrating how effective Wlad was and how difficult it was to achieve what he did. Yes, his style was cautious and seemed silly at times given his appearance. But he dominated the division for an exceptionally long time against some excellent fighters.

That said, I'm getting tired of these heavyweight conversations. It's all been ground to fine grist and no one is changing their mind.

It’s too bad we didn’t see Tyson vs an Elite SHW while he was in his prime. We got close.

It would’ve answered a lot of questions regarding this topic.

Again , I agree , WK had dedication and skill and it takes a great commitment to stay on top for a long time, I give credit where credit is due but that guy was the cure for insomnia even against bums.

I was a big Julio fan too, he too was very dedicated on top but he provided entertaining fights against top caliber oppositions......when Tyson was in prison Julio pretty much bank rolled Don King

It would only answer what a guy with top .01% speed, balance and form could do to an elite superheavy. It would not speak at all for those who weren't as talented as Mike, which is pretty much everyone else.

    No, that’s what I’m saying.

Elite being Lewis, Klits, Fury, etc

Yes, but I'm asking about "HW" now, not "SHW" ?
Did he even beat an Elite Heavyweight ?

But then, who did beat an "Elite HW"?

    Louis didn´t.
    Marciano didn´t (too old).
    Liston didn´t.
Frazier did (some argue thats the jail version).
Foreman did (some say Frazier was past it).
    Ali definitely did.
    Holmes didn´t (too old).
    Tyson didn´t (too old).
Holy didn´t (Tyson past it. Is Bowe elite?)
    Bowe did!!
    Lewis didn´t (too old).
    Wlad didn´t.

Thats two who definitely did: Ali and Bowe. Foreman and Frazier arguably. Some would say Evander did too.

Thats 2-5 out of 12. And Riddick Bowe beeing the only man next to Ali to defeat a clear young prime version, as well as 95-Holy. And nobody gives a fukk about Bowe. Just sayin.

There hasn't been a better win at HW since Bowe beat Holyfield. . Klitschko doesn't have a win that comes remotely close during the 10 year reign that makes @Seamus cream his pantaloons
