Would Mike Tyson have been able to take Povetkin's power shots without getting knocked out?

How come Tyson such a god, undefeatable god for guys in forums?
Because he is from U.S and had been finished by Buster Douglas?
Of course Douglas is higher name in boxing for US fans because he is from U.S? Better punches of course too etc. LOL.

Povetkin is from Russia and therefore prime Povetkin from U.S fans assumption should had less effective punch than Douglas.
Of course, if something is not from U.S it should be weak, ineffective, inferiour etc. LOL.

 

I don't have problems to understand simple thing: for some percentage of U.S fans there are only 2 rates for boxer: 1 st rate: from U.S, 2 nd rate : not from U.S.

It is Awful but apart from Fury nothing between the Top 6 or more very average lot....The small Fat unfit Mexican he fought the so called To Tall Monster in Joshua 2 Times for a TKO win and a 12 Round Loss.......Then Joshua fought the Monster Povetkin and TKod him convincingly.....Yet Povetkin is going to destroy the Likes of Tyson even Ali......God a Prime Tua would have given most of this lot huge problems.!!!!

It doesn’t really work like that as I’m sure you know. There are so many variables at play - body position, height of the fighter, momentum of the shot. It seems you want to boil it down to ‘who punches the hardest’ but in my view that’s a simpleton’s way of looking at it.

 

well, If we will not take in account that he was over the hill then let's not take in account this also for Tyson.
Tyson had been defeated by: McBride, Williams, Lewis. Also Twice by Holyfield.
Tyson also had been KOed by Douglas and then he definitely was in his peak prime. It did not helped.

Povetkin had lost only to A.J and Klitschko.

When Tyson's fans are too much s**** on other boxers, it is time here to evalue Tyson's defeats too.
