Joe Louis vs. Mike Tyson is an intruging fight on paper between two of the best punching heavyweights of all time. Both boxers have tha abillity to stop the other guy. However because of there styles this fight may not bare the fireworks that are expected.

I am not proposing that this will be a boring fight just that it is possible that it could be a boring fight.

In my opinion Joe Joe Louis is the best heavyweight ever. He's the best in ring tallant and has the power to stop anyone. In head to head prime vs. prime match ups I'd only favor modern super heavys over him. This has more to do with tactacs than anything else. Louis's game was to stalk his prey. With near perfect form and an underrated defense. Backing his oppoent up, forcing him to make a forward move on Louis. In which Louis would be waiting with a devesting counter punch.
The key to beating Louis at his best is to stay on your back foot, and jab look for openings for your stright punch and stay focused through out the entire fight. It also helps a lot to be the longer man in the ring. This dose not describe Mike Tyson.

I would not favor Mike Tyson over Joe Louis. However he has the speed and power to pull off the upset. Like Louis Tyson stalks his Prey, with a little bit better defense. They are very simmlaer in their aproches. Each stalking using very good defense, and setting their oppoents up to make that one mistake. Like Louis the key to beating Tyson at his best is o be the longer man in the ring. Stay on your back foot, use the jab and find openings for your stright punch. This dose not describe Joe Louis.

When two great punchers get together the potional for fireworks are there. This fight is no exception to this rule. However based on their styles. There could be a disapointing lack of action. Even with a knockout the fight may be (not will be) something of a let down.

I doubt I'd blink during the whole fight. Even if it lasted until the late rounds.

It would be a fireworks fest!

When Joe Louis's, sorry the winners hand was raised, you would have the fight of the year in prety much any year.

For the record I'd pick Louis to win by either late round stoppage or by a close but clear decision.

About as much of a let down as a lesbian sex tape of prime Demi Moore and Monica Bellucci.

  8. tyson would ko louis in the first match (type schmeling) then louis would be focused in the rematch and he would demolish tyson with accurate combinations.

lets not be ****ing delusional about this... Tyson would ko louis early. Joe was way too ****ing slow on his feet to deal with tyson.

    Absolutely not.

I would actually give Tyson a good chance of beating Joe Louis. Louis' feet weren't the best and i don't know how he would handle Tysons inside bull rushes. I would still pick Louis though. Although his feet weren't the best his punches were so short and compact, he had the best right hand in history and every shot was delivered first class with 'KO' stamped on it. It was like some of his opponents were shot by a sniper in the crowd the way they use to go down. Louis would slaughter Tyson with short compact, vicious combinations and hurt him bad. Because he NEVER wasted any motion his punches travelled so quickly to the target. Tyson loaded up a lot more than Joe Louis and would get beaten to the punch time and time again, until he was hurt and taken out of there. I wouldn't rule out Tyson hurting Louis as well though at some point, but i think Louis would survive even if he was.

Louis hated being crowded. If Tyson simply sticks really close, this could easily go to him. He's way better on the inside.

Those short crisp KO counters by louis would wreak havoc on tysons style.

I wouldnt pick Tyson against Louis but he would definetely be a very tough opponent, I give Tyson a very good chance, more chances than many other greats, more chances than Foreman, Liston, Holmes, Dempsey, Holyfield, Lewis.......

i know it's a billion to one shot, but I'll be googling that just in case.

As for the topic, I think it's a million to one that the fight would be a ltedown.
