Would modern Deontay Wilder be too small for the 80s/90s HW divison?

Wow, he looked so much smaller when he fought Bruno. For me though the main advantage a bigger heavyweight has is reach and nobody`s had a longer reach than Wilder.

I miss the old tale-o-the-tape stuff. You see it less and less.

He was stuck in sparring partner mode and obviously had outside problems.

    Lewis: KO loss possibly early
Morrison: tough to tell I mean he was knocked out by Michael Bent
Bowe: Favor Bowe on points or possible stoppage
Bruno: Hard for me to say
Ruddock: Hard fight for me to pick
    Tyson: loses by KO
Holmes: Loses a decision could maybe drop Holmes if he makes a mistake
    McCall: McCall Points or stop
    Rahman: KO's Rahman
Golota: 50/50 fight Golota can come out cold
Briggs: I think he can KO Briggs if he goes past the first 4
Tucker: Not sure not seen enough
    Grant: KO's Grant

Tucker did far better against Tyson than Bruno did and displayed a much better chin, the first right hand that Wilder hit Bruno with would end it plus Frank used to gas, total mismatch.

Well I don't think Marciano fitting the bill is as central to the point as the anatomy I assumed he had. Him being a bad example doesn't change the physics. A smaller fist doesn't have to produce as much energy as a larger fist to transfer an equal amount of energy. That's not something I'm assuming it simply is. If you don't like it take it up with Newton and the folks what claim he's the **** at physics. I'm not exactly depending on high level stuff for this. If Marciano does not fit that bill that's fine, and small fist backed by abnormally large thighs wasn't meant to be an explanation for how all get power it was meant to be an explanation for how a smaller man can produce as much damage as a larger man even though he doesn't have the weight. An, singular. I don't feel like I presented it as an explanation that fits all and I reckon you're reaching for something to contradict.

The rest of this, and honestly man I am trying to be respectful and let past be past and just speak with you, but it all just seems rather insulting. Do you honestly believe I never noticed all the big punchers? How is that in anyway an example or reason why boxing doesn't care to identify the link between them?

The truth  nice....The truth is boxing as an industry has never paid to be scientific. You can tell me no one know because it can't be known but that sir is absurd. You've shut your brain off from understanding it and those with the ability to run tests and what not never ever have. Marciano playing with the Army men was for PR not science and outside of him I've never heard of anyone measuring anything using a standard projectile foot-pounds test. Since then they went even more PR with ****ing punching machines and bull**** that measures in PSI....PS friggin I my dude, c'mon. We both know that's only because the public can recognize PSI, it'd be about the worst ****in unit to use if you wanted real and usable results. Kilowatts hours would tell me more....****in' PSI.

I think it's really sad, just incredibly sad, that a knowledgeable fan like yourself would see kinematic chains as useless intellectualization. You should do yourself a favor and at least look into it. A pure kinematic chain will undoubted deliver more energy than an impure kinematic chain....it is a law of physics ya know...newton's cradle and all? Notice I didn't mention punching or boxing, in physics a pure kinematic chain delivers more energy...I'm sure boxing does not have special magic physics. Disregarding kinematic chains is downright foolishness.

Now look at the state of yourself. I wrote quite a lot before I mentioned Marciano's fist size and thighs, why don't you have anything to say to that? I don't think the closing paragraph added only to further illustrate my point is very essential and I could do without it and still have made a very solid point, had I would you have responded with simply a list? What is with the cult-like aversion to understanding power? It's not like I'm on here talking about your momma. You guys act like trying to understand where power comes from is sacrilege or some ****. Welp, might not like knowing it but I'm gonna continue to not believe in magic people.

Punchers are born, and proper technique can sometimes be enough to make them.

I didn't address your opening lines because you made no points at all, just waffled on about " analyzing power and magic muscles, and magic people ".
PSI tests for punching power are a guy hitting a static bag ,different bags might produce different results.I watched Anthony Joshua recently hit one of these on a chat show ,his read out wasn't much better than an actor there who had never boxed in his life.
Bottom line no one knows why some possess punching power and some don't ,it doesn't obey any physical guide lines,we have punchers of all shapes and sizes muscular, skinny ,big thighed, pencil thighed, big fisted[ Carnera no puncher ], little fisted ,I have small hands, my fist is 12."same as Marciano's I had bigger biceps and chest than Rocky when I went to college, yet I'm certain I couldn't generate even 50% of the power he did and punching ability was one of my few assets .We have stylistically correct punchers like Joe Louis and Alexis Arguello who generated the maximum amount of leverage and impetus behind their right hands and we have swing for the fences guys like Ketchel,Graziano,Wilder, who do/did not have technique but still produce absurd punching power and nobody, but nobody can explain why .
I didnt dig you out because of any previous history I did it because you were spouting nonsense.imo
ps Does anybody agree with you on this thread?
