Considering that Cotto was able to counter Mosley, and was able to beat him to the jab. Considering Mosley's jab is crap and PBF seems vulnerble to probably only the jab these days, would he be completely dominated by Mayweather?

I think Mayweather would outbox Mosley and win a wide decision (116-112 or 117-111). I see him landing the cleaner shots and landing more shots. Shane's speed will have decreased and even though he would still be very fast, I think Floyd's own speed and better defense would nullify that.

I think it'd be very competitive. DLH fought Mayweather tough and Mosely twice bested DLH.

    That doesn't mean squat actually.

That is a common mistake by new fans of this sport.

Yes that's why I would pick PBF by UD over Mosley because he can be outboxed and out-smarted in the ring.

I think that Mosley has the stamina, agressiveness and build to push Mayweather back and the speed and diversty to land some decent shots on Floyd. It would be a close fight, even closer than Cotto - Mosley.

Well Mosley's speed wasn't that evident against a slower Cotto. Mosley's best punch was a looping right. And Jab, forget it, if at 35 he hasn't learned to use the Jab effectively then you can count it out.

  8. Mosley would give Mayrunner a lot of problems and possibly beat him, he's naturally the bigger stronger man, and would be the agressor through out the fight, in a match that's almost guaranteed to go the distance, a lot would depend on the judges..

I hate to say it, but i do think so.

    HOWEVER

That being said... Mosley would be able to open up a lot more with mayweather in front of him then cotto, as in, cotto made him pay very dearly (he was bleeding out of his ears for gods sakes) so his offence might go up drastically against mayweather...

imo it would be an entertaining fight and one id like to see....

I didn't see any fast hands from Mosley.

Let's put it this way Cotto beat Mosley to the punch for the most part. Mosley threw one punch Cotto would counter with a 1-2, Mosley would clinch.

Nah nah nah :-( . . . Mosley will likely lose but not thouroughly outboxed.
Shane lost to Cotto . . . but it doesn't mean he can't do anything to make PBF work and sweat for a victory.

    It's still gonna be close.

well one comparisons you could use is winky, who is not as fast as floyd, does not have alot of sting on his punches but is just as defensive.

Winky defense, was able to nullify shane's hand speed and combos . so thats big thing that stick out for me, and Im sure floyd and camp seen that also , IMO floyd defense is a little better then winky's because of his upper body movement and his ability to keep his eyes open during heavy exchanges .

bottom line I think floyd uses his defense to out boxes and out moves shane.

The Mosley of 7 years ago would be right there with Mayweather the whole fight.

    Today's Mosley loses 9 rounds to 3

Edit: Floyds power would not keep Shane honest like Cotto so he might win another round or 2 based on effective speed/pressure.
