Would most hardcore fans prefer Crawford vs Vergil Ortiz over Canelo?

Ortiz would be Crawfords best win. And Vigil would bring the fight to him. As a boxing fan, I'm more interested in Ortiz than Canelo HOWEVER I'm planning on going to Vegas for Craw-Can just for the spectacle. You know damn well the atmosphere would be insane to Craw-Can and not for Ortiz. The Vegas whores will make MILLIONS with Craw in the house.

Yeah I'm planning on going to Vegas as well for Canelo Crawford if it happens, as the fight is expected to take place at Allegiant Stadium which would be epic. I don't think people understand how massive this fight would be if it happens in Allegiant Stadium. The star power in that ring, in a packed football stadium would be unlike anything that's ever happened in Vegas.

Isn't the stadium already booked for a different event that weekend??

A UNLV game against Idaho State is scheduled for Sept 13th, we don't have the NFL schedule to know if the Raiders would be home on Sept 20th. Those are the two possible dates. I think they would be able to move the UNLV game on the 13th as it is a non-conference game against a smaller school.

I agree with you on the money grab bit against Canelo as well as your last sentence..
Virgil's youth and hunger would definitely make it a dog fight. Unlike Madrimov, Virgil is gonna bring the fight to Bud and force the fight to open up.

Bud may beat Virgil, but he isn't stopping him. You're only as good as your last fight and nothing I saw Bud do against Madrimov, leads me to believe that he's stopping Virgil...

Bud-Virgil is a much more exciting fight than Canelo-Bud in my opinion.....

Yep exactly why I think it will be a dog fight either Virgil's youth, toughness and incredible gas tank overwhelms Bud or Crawford pieces him up with clean counters and timing.

Where can we find the opinion of hardcore boxing enthusiasts?

Most on here are hardcore casuals who don’t understand much about boxing or the business.

Bud does not have to make a Canelo fight exciting he just needs to win.

You're correct, Bud doesn't have to make a Canelo fight exciting, I just don't think he'll win.

Virgil-Bud would be exciting, in my opinion. Bud would be the favorite, but unlike Canelo, Virgil is young and would certainly press the action for 12 rounds in seesaw action fight.

I think that weight categories exist for a reason. So I consider Crawford - Ortiz an interesting match while Canelo - Crawford is a nosense match that I would prefer not to see.

Probably. More of an even fight, I think. They are closer in weight. Money and legacy-wise, its better for Craw to fight Canelo.

I know you believe Bud doesn't stand a chance against Canelo, but wouldn't a win over Canelo do way more for Bud than a win over Ortiz?
