    Discuss.

Floyd Mayweather is seen by many as the most dominating figure in sports of this era, 46-0 and has not taken a loss in 18 years of boxing.

Most in the sporting world knows of the name Floyd Mayweather, as it is synonymous to winning.

This name has even been coined and is regularly used by many sportsmen today.

Examples of regular usage of this newly coined term

"I need to be like Floyd Mayweather in order to win this tournament" [Noun]

"I need to Floyd Mayweather the finals" [Verb]

Ever since 2006, he has been p4p #1, the premier trash talker/egotistical man in sports and a good portion of his ppv buyers pay to watch him lose. It's been 9 years since and the man hasn't even come close to losing.

If Floyd Mayweather loses, I seriously believe that it will shake up the boxing/sporting world.

It would single handedly become the most shocking piece of news in the entire SPORTING world, not just boxing.

Respectfully diisagree. IF Floyd loses, and that's a big if, I think it will rival the shock generated from Tyson's loss to Douglas.

It might sound insane but that's just how I feel will happen.

Floyd is the most dominant sports figure in today's time and if he ever took a loss, the whole world will hear about it.

It would be quite a shock, but nowhere near "the single most shocking event in sports".

I wouldn't be shocked if he lost another fight, I would however be shocked that his personal judges scored the fight correctly.

If somewhere like Northern Ireland made the next World Cup and won it that would be far more shocking than a May weather loss.

Unrealistic for that to happen though.

Not as shocking as MVC/Modernfonzie laying off Floyd's nuts for one whole day.

Hmm.. Not really, it depends on who he'd lost to but even then I don't think so, a big shock would be something like Arsenal winning the premier league trophy.

I don't see how it would be remotely shocking. He isn't some living legend with a string of epic historical title defenses or anything. He's known by hardcore and casual viewers alike as a safety-oriented fighter who wins most of his fights on the negotiating table. If he lost people would probably just think "about time", then move on.
