Yes, in fact he'd have parkinsons even worse than he does now had Frazier and Holmes not punched some of the parkinsons out of him after the Foreman fight.

Think about it most fighters are right handed, therefore they punch their opponent in the left side of the head, the left side of the brain, primarily the left frontal lobe controls speech, most HW boxers have a hard time talking don't they.

He may have been predisposed to Parkinson's maybe not, but repeated concussive blows to the head for 21 years can't be good for your brain, and anyone trying to say otherwise is in total denial about the sport we love.

Why do you think boxers die in ring so frequently Ray Mancini killed Duk-koo Kim Mancini wasn't a murderous puncher, Kovalev beat Simakov to death, Arce caused an opponent to have stroke, Brewster caused Wlad to be hospitalized and he came close to having a stroke, Abdusalamov just last year. Nobody likes to talk about it but I have a constant fear when I watch Kirkland, Kov, GGG, and other hard punchers that I may see a death in the ring which would traumatize me and many other fans, it ruined Mancini's career. Boxing isn't good for your health.

The point of the sport is for 2 men to beat each other until one of them can't stand up anymore, as much as purists say its about the sweet science most boxers know what the fans want and they try to accommodate us.

I love the sport it appeals to the barbarian that lives in most guys, nothing is a more pure example of the primal violence that lives in our lizard brain(id) than this sport. But when you step back and use your logic and reason you can be taken aback by what your watching, its beautiful and repellant at the same time.

That being said, they know what they are doing and the risks they are taking, how could they not.

Ali got Parkinsons because he prayed to the wrong God.

there is a parkin gene http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/11470964 but its a rare thing, being recessive (ie it doesn't manifest physically often, just lingers in the gene pool). though it relates to Parkinsons and not Alis's 'Parkinsonism', the diseases share symptoms.

likely it is triggered by environmental factors eg being battered in the head.

this articles a bit more meaty if you want to get stuck in http://brain.oxfordjournals.org/content/126/6/1250.full

but don't read too much if that kind of fatalism gets to you. A lot of medicine studies can be really depressing reading when you start to fully digest its implications. sometimes its better not to know some things in life, I am starting to realise that now.
