Ali's speech had been slurring for years going into the Holmes fight.

After the Shavers fight in 1977, Teddy Brenner urged Ali to retire and said he wouldn't promote his fights because he worried about his health. He was already slurring his words.

His kidneys were damaged too, according to Ferdie Pacheco's medical records.

Ali never should have been licensed to fight Holmes. At the very least, there should have been more testing.

And him taking those Thyroid pills? Ali, and boxing as a whole, is lucky Ali didn't suffer a WORSE fate than a horrible beating and Parkinson's.

Despite his physical decline, Ali's mind is, or at least was (he is in his 70s after all), a lot sharper than many other fighters.

Muhammad already had Parkinsons syndrome BEFORE he met George . Parkinsons is not caused by boxing alone Michael J Fox & Janet Reno suffer from it & they never boxed

They have Parkinson'd disease. Ali has Parkinson'd syndrome. There is a difference between the two. Ali's condition is purely due to his boxing.
