Seeing that there isnt an long row of Heavyweights lined up to challenge Ortiz, Hughie Fury could be an interesting opposition.

Coming from a Povetkin loss, he could test himself again against a top guy, while Ortiz could promote his image in the UK demanding later to fight Chisora, Whyte, Tyson Fury or Joshua.

I think we will see Ortiz vs Dubois or Joyce, Hughie just isn't box office.

Both good fights. Not Hughie though, Ortiz beats him easily. Hughie needs to take a couple of fights against 2nd tier opposition, and try to improve his offense / output somehow.

Luis Ortiz made millions in the Wilder fight Saturday. He needed money to help with the medical expenses of his child. He seemed satisfied when the fight was over. He's had some pressure removed from his shoulders, and he also showed he's still a top heavyweight.

If he wants to keep fighting, he doesn't have much time left. I wouldn't fight any prospects.

His manager should try to make a fight with Manuel Charr. Ortiz could knock him out in short order and become a WBA "regular" champ.

That's supposed to put him in position for a mandatory shot at the WBA World champ, whoever that may be next year. And he can wrap up his career fighting in a couple more title fights against someone who isn't one of, if not THE greatest puncher ever.

Or he can just retire. He had a solid career for someone who turned pro late. Arguably the best professional heavyweight career of any Cuban since Nino Valdes.

Actually, I really like the idea of Ortiz fighting Charr, I completely forgot about him. He's a crafty guy who can last some rounds and take a punch here and there, would be a good fight for Ortiz.

Charr would probably take anyone right now. He's been out of the ring for two years. What a mess. Maybe Ruiz could help clean it up by taking him out in a round or two?
