Oscar is gunning for his last fight.

Just for me, Margo may be the best option for him. Why?

Margo just came off a sensational win handing him a belt, plus recognition as the best at 147 right now. Since Oscar claims he can still make 147, then let them square off for Margo's title. And judging by the purse DLH generates, I have no doubt Margo will face Oscar even if the fight is stipulated at 154.

Lastly, stylewise, DLH can beat Margo. DLH is also a big welter. He has that reach and a hard jab that can keep Margo away. Plus, he's chin was proven time again that he can take punches. And DLH has an advatage in speed. I just have a lot of doubt on his stamina. Something that Margo can capitalize on especially when the fight reaches the late stages.

But nevertheless, it's a much more meaningful last fight for him than facing Pac. I like DLH to face Pac, I really do. But sometimes, there are always better options just around the corner.

Oscars main concern is not getting hurt. Thats why he's selling a Paquiao fight. Believe me, Oscar would fight Johnny Tapia if he could get away with it.
I just wish Oscar would fight Margarito. But seeing how little Stevie Forbes scuffed up his face , De La Hoya even knows, he has nothing to hold off a bruiser like Margarito.
There will be ski tournements in hell before Oscar fought Margarito.

Margarito is too dangerous for Team DLH.

Oscar can still beat Marg, but he has to preserve stamina for the later rounds, and jab and move, and see if he can flurry-steal rounds. He must also try to avoid taking too much punishment to the body-His chin can probably take Margarito's best, but if he gets hit to the body too often, he'd be dead tired by round nine, and might have to go into Run-from-Trinidad mode EX to survive-Although I still think he beat Trinidad.

Oscar will beat Margo only if they face at 154.
At 147 Oscar is simply too weak.

You can bet that if Oscar decides to risk it against Margarito it'll be at 154, with maximum size ring aloud, Oscar would pick Margarito to wear pillows, while allowing himself to wear reyes....

Only way this fight might happen is if fans put the pressure on Oscar to make it happen. Golden Boy will take the most possible while giving the least - that's Pacquiao. Some folks need to start with some sweet viral videos on Youtube to start hyping this.

This would be a way bigger fight I think than even the Mayweather fight because there's a legit possibility that Oscar could be knocked out brutally. At the same time, Tony's small enough that Oscar has a fighting chance, and given the styles, it'd be a real war for Oscar, similar to the Vargas and Mayorga fights.

Oscar said he doesn't want to fight a Mexican, but he had no trouble executing Yory Boy, not to mention the bad blood between Fernando didn't exactly hurt his standing. Given the humble sportsmanship of Margarito, that's a BS excuse by Oscar.
