:-( NO. He had his chance after Rios was coming off of that loss to Alvarado. Pacquiao is done and Marquez put the nail in his boxing careers coffin.

Pacquiao was coming off getting put to sleep by Marquez, so he wasn't about to take any real chances vs Rios.

Hard to say though whether Pacquiao would have stopped the current version of Rios who without a doubt declines some after every fight.

Also, Bradley consistently attacked Rios' body which is something that Pacquiao doesn't do with any consistency, so there's a chance even this version of Rios survives Pacquiao.

There's also other factors like Rios being more defensive and not throwing many punches, thus offering less offensive opportunities to a fighter with the blurr speed of Paccquiao.

I think most of the clowns in this forum cant even begin to think of such factors.

I think it's the safe bet to say yes. Rios was clearly not physically ready for this fight. You could from the early going that those body shots were hurting him. Not a stretch to think that Pacquiao could wear him down in similar fashion.

Bradley stuck with a consistent body attack, when has Pacquiao ever offered that type of commitment to the body?

Once Bradley knew Rios was hurting from the body shots, he stuck to the inside and started whaling shots from real close to the body.
Pacquiao doesn't get close like that which is a huge reason he doesn't consistently go to the body.

Rios took more punishment against Pac

look at the size of his head after Pacquiao

Bradley just got him where it hurts...the body.

You can train as hard and as long as you need to, but if your mind isn't into it..anyone can stop you. Doesn't have to be a guy at the level of Pac to stop the Rios of last night. I believe Rios quit, and I'm glad that he did. If your heart isn't into get out!

Exactly, which is why I question whether Pacquiao could have stopped even this much depleted version of Rios.
Pacquiao just doesn't get real close on the inside to dig body shots on a consistent basis.

Rios talked about hanging it up. You don't do that **** randomly. He was ready to lose before the fight.
