Would Pacquaio still have been the p4p king..if he had taken the 'Mayweather route'?

Ortiz had just beaten an unbeaten Berto and won WBC WW title. Pac defended his WBO WW title against the reigning LW champion. Marquez is a great fighter but your theory of Floyd cherry picking and Pac taking the most dangerous fights is absurd. Marquez looked poor in his only WW fight prior to this and team Pac thought they could exploit this.............they were very wrong.
