That is the point. ODLH has one of the best jabs in the game. He had no energy to throw. His body was toast.

Manny is asking for weight modifications for a REASON. You think he is just doing it to make the face offs look better?

I swear man you Pac fans are in the clouds. :patsch

Great performance by Pac but plenty of lesser fighters would have fkd Oscar up that night.

He had no energy to throw but had the energy to withstand several powerful punches. Thats weird.

Im sure thats a fact. Comparable to Roach saying: Ive seen IV marks (which I thought at first was one of Roach's way of boosting Pac's morale).

You want to know how weight draining really affects a boxer? Watch Pac vs Sasakul.

What people forget, is that Roach made a judgment call, he could of been completely wrong and got his fighter KTFO by taking on the bigger, stronger Oscar, now the fans also made a judgment call, they assumed it was a joke fight, that Oscar would obliterate him, so going in, Manny was taking a helluva risk, cause no one was to know beforehand, how weight drained, past his best Oscar was, which was why so many fans picked him to win the fight, and that is why the win gets underrated, people act like Manny did not take a risk, when in reality, he took a huge risk, its just people want to use hindsight to make it out to be something else.

With all that said, you also have to take it on face value, Oscar did fight like a corpse, so its not a particularly a great win, however I dont like the way people act like Manny/Roach knew they were picking a corpse, that it was not a challenge to begin with, Roach and Manny knew as much as the fans who said Oscar would knock Manny out.

    Box. Then you will understand.

Throwing a punch takes anticipating an opening, explosive action, control of said action, and navigating any return shots while pulling your hand back. When you are gassed or drained your brain is sitting in a cockpit with the controls turned off. You can see what is happening, but can't do anything about it. The safest thing to do is to keep up your guard.

Staying on your feet with your hands up, especially at their level, is like breathing. Involuntary.

oh yeah i do box, alot actually inside/ outside the gym. When I get hit I feel weaker not just physically, buy mentally. When I fail to hit my opponents i get more motivated to hit them.

Roach said it, yes. But aren't you also arguing that Oscar used IV fluid to rehydrated himself???... therefore, you're also accusing him of cheating.

This fight meant nothing. Oscar was taking IV's the day of the fight. His body couldn't rehdrate and was in shock. To this point, all Paq has beaten at 147 was a shopworn Cotto(Clottey did not come to fight).

Cotto is going to get brutally KO'd once he fights a name at 154.

Cintron and Williams would both KO him at this point.

People always quick to mention how Oscar had to lose 3 lbs from the Forbes fight, but noone talks about how Pac moved up 12lbs from the Diaz fight.

Pac is too good for his own good.

Nothing to you obviously. For me it meant Pac was willing to face great challenges despite great odds, never mind the win.
