I'm assuming Pavlik wants to clean out the other divisions on his way up over a 4-5 year period. Here's a list of possible opponents. 160 - He needs to beat AA soon to prove he is the best middleweight 168 - Calzaghe or Kessler if Joe retires 175 - Chad Dawson 200 - Cunningham/Adamek or Macinarelli 200+ - Haye ( assuming Wlad has retired in 5 years Haye could be the likely heir) If you look at the individual match-ups Pavlik has a somewhat realistic chance up to cruiser. In 5 years the heavyweight division could still be a shambles - there are no young superstars on the horizon.I'm guessing Haye might be champ or possibly Povetkin.Against either Pavlik would be a bid underdog but if he power comes with the added weight he might have a chance
He won't even beat some of the top cruiserweights like Steve Cunningham or Tomasz Adamek. I doubt he can even beat someone in the calibre of Eddie Chambers or some B level heavyweight. I don't even think he can beat some of the top light-heavyweights such as Chad Dawson.
Unless my main man Pavlik wants to prove me wrong, I can't see him going any higher than LMW, and even then he needs to work himself up properly over time. But I will support his decisions, he knows what he can do more than I do. If the man says he's gonna do something, so far he's never not done it.
i dont know i think he should go light heavy their is alot of good opposition their but his frame is y he is such a great fighter at middle weight but heavy he would be a skinny push over and im a huge fan of pav he is my fav fighter rt now i wouldnt wannasee him risk it
