Just rewatched their fight again. And this question just came to mind while I was watching...

So, would PBF still beat a prime DLH at 147?

    Discuss.

I'd pick DLH at 147, Floyd for sure at 130 as Oscar was not quite prime at the weight, 135 and 140 are close calls. Oscar's jab would always be a problem, and he was faster then compared to when he fougth PBF and did not fade down the stretch.

It will always be a difficult fight, DLH is no joke especially in his prime. 50/50 I would say and can't blame/argue with anyone picking DLH.

dlh always faded in the championship rounds but I don't believe it would last that long because floyd would get stopped to the body

    Yes.

It would be a lot tougher and grittier fight but yeah he would beat a young Delahoya.

    Still faster @147

    Still accurate @147

Still the better defensive fighter @147

    Still smarter @147

    It ain't hard to tell.

well he couldnt beat a "shot" De La Hoya so I doubt he could take him in his prime.

I don't know if he would beat the DLH who Shane fought in the first fight.

I am not a fan of either fighter but I think their fight was close because Floyd underestimated Oscar. If Oscar was in his prime Floyd would have taken him more seriously. I would have to say Floyd would still win. And the fight would have been boring.
