    Not current cotto though..

Cotto After beating margarito & oscar de la hoya

the hype would be the best since ali fought, better than tyson fights or even sugar ray Leonard fights

2 careers on a collision course since their starts
    one black
    one Peurto Rican
    2 opposing styles
    Cotto is #2 p4p
    floyd former p4p# 1
    4 episode 24/7 series
one of the first major events in the new stadium of the most powerful nations state capitol in one of the best cities in the world
set the fight up for the 4th of july!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    me too m'man... me too.

damn shame cotto lost to margarito... a damn damn shame. lol... all i can hope for is cotto rips margarito up and boxes his ears off next time.. amplyfing his performance of the last fight and preparing this time for exactly the kind of gameplan he will need... and then after that, i guess the way to get a fight with mayweather is beat oscar, so lets have Cotto vs Oscar.... cotto destroys hoya the worst hes ever been, then we got

    Mayweather vs Cotto
    -The wait is over-

Definetely. But Margarito came along and messed up Cotto's plans. But it definetely could've been. But it would've been bigger at USC.

Cotto has an unbelievable mountain to climb in the Margarito rematch. Very few see him prevailing. His overall prospects will be affected by another loss. Mayweather is retired, and has never shown any indication ever, whatsoever, of being interested in a Cotto fight. WWM, why? Why this thread? Just to tease?

that was the idea when oscar wanted cotto (not the winner of margarito cotto)

OMG AND THATS THE PERFECT NAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    im pissed right now...

    i drew the perfect picture

new york is un-officially the greatest city in the world
new york is the biggest it gets as far as usa goes...
put that ***** in yankee stadium

and if the fight is an actual great fight

like floyd touches the campus and gets back up
or floyd touches the campus and gets back up

floyd wins by 2 or 3 rounds and puts the final stamp on a tremendous career
    or
cotto wins and steals the 0 from boxings poster boy then becoming the official poster boy for boxing and surpassing all pr fighters all time

nothing could be greater than that

    best fight in boxing history?

    i think so

lmaoo I know its so hard to think about

it hurts me inside yet sends chills down my back thinking about such an amazing event

but i was just thikning about what a great event this would be if you actually imagine the situation and i thought id share it with everyone

and im 100% sure floyd would have took this matchup if cotto beat oscar & margarito... why you ask me?

why would floyd fight cotto if he never showed interest in the past in fighting cotto..

floyd would have to take it to to be a part of what would be undeniably one of the greatest single events in boxing history and cement his name as one of the best ever. That alone is enough for any man accept any task at hand...

just take a second and read my first post and close your eyes and just imagine that... were talking about literally one of the greatest events in boxing history

    EVER!

    better than

    tyson vs holyfeild
    ali vs foreman
    ali vs frazier
    agruello vs pryor
    hagler vs hearns
    sugar ray vs hagler

im 100% sure floyd vs cotto would be better than all of those pending the fight was actually exciting based on if the fight was in yankee stadium on the 4th of july (basically the way i painted it)

    biggest event of the year?
would have been the biggest event of the last 30 years with no argument
only like 10 fights would be able to compete with this

cotto would need to beat odlh to ultimately thrust him into the mainstream

    LJDflkasdjfklajd OMGGGG

    screw margarito :(

WTF are you talking about ?

At least five if not all six of the fights you mention were better than this possible matchup.

the actual fights themselves may have been bigger

but the buildup to this would be biggest of all
