Would PBF's style be hated as much if he got hit more?

no people call floyd a 'runner' because he backpeddles the whole fight and throws one punch at a time.

 

no you dont have to get hit to be exciting, look at whitaker, he would go in close range and trade with you without getting hit.

 

if floyd could fight every fight the way he fought gatti he would be more liked, when was the last time he threw a combo or a flurry?

Obviously Floyd would generally be liked more if he fought more often (especially the last two fights) like he did against guys like Augustus, Ndou, Corley, etc....But it might not be in the best interest in terms of winning the fights.

I don't hold it against a guy's all-time standing or how good he is for being dull provided they win the fights clearly...it's just that obviously a lot of fans won't like it as much.

 

What a ridiculous thing to say. If he got hit more? How about him hitting more, and not just once at a time.

If FLoyd got hit more often it would be easier to critisize him, but then again you could ALWAYS find something wrong with any fighter, especially if he's on top.

You're the one who referenced Whitaker. The obvious connection you were drawing between Whitaker and Floyd is that they both have defensive styles.
