Would peak Foreman, Lewis, Holmes, and Ali make easy work of Tyson Fury?

Easily - KO records and footage speaks for itself.

Usyk is undeniably great. Ali is the same size, punches faster, punches harder, is more battle tested and by far, the more proven HW.

From what I've been reading over the last couple of days, Usyk is the best H2H HW ever. I've read that he beats Ali, Louis, Lewis, Holyfield, Frazier, will see Foreman and Holmes thrown in there soon. Usyk makes it tough for many fighters but IMO, prime versions of Louis, Bowe, Tyson and Lennox absolutely best him.

Usyk punches faster than Ali did and is more slippery Ali used to eat a lot of hooks, both of them have great chins though. (had RIP Ali)

    No. He doesn't.

Ali's jab and double jab is comfortably faster than Usyk's. Ali's straight right is quicker than Usyk's straight left. His pull counter is quicker than Usyk's. He also hits harder with a single shot and has a better KO record.

Usyk has better use of forearms and glove placement to block shots, Ali's slipping inside and outside is more rhythmic - both fighters do things extremely well, but Ali is superior of foot and handspeed, as well as power.

Usyk is below the Ali's, Tyson's, Patterson's, Louis and other genuinely trigger fast fighters of the division - he does have very good timing and ring generalship but his HW sample is extremely low, comparatively.

Sorry, but Usyk is hella quick I don`t know what you`re looking at, Ali`s jab was pretty fasy but it didn`t look that quick and Usyk`s jab doesn`t travel far as from the southpaw stance he has his lead right extended and just has to poke it out a few inches to land it, Norton`s jab was as quck as Ali`s.

Bowe cleaned his clock in a canter.

And? Bowe would be a very very dangerous fight for Fury. A great many would favor Bowe.

That is one of the silliest claims i have seen in all my time here. Why stop there? Surely he hits harder than Shavers as well.

Your inability to comprehend how someone can overcome such a reach and height advantage is seducing you Mark.

I thought you were a decent poster ... and then this nonsense.

He lands cos his hand is closer - Ali's jab travels a longer distance in less time.

Norton's jab was not as quick as a post prime Ali - his jab timing and defence of Ali's jab were relatively superb. You're one of those guys that confuses timing for genuine handspeed. Ali's jab didn't look that quick? Pray tell, which HW greats have a quicker jab/hands than prime Ali?

Ali, in his prime, has one of the all-time jabs, any weight, especially HW. It was clocked faster than SRR's; it was a sharp, quick jab that caught everybody and he threw it with a lot of versatility. Look at the colour pictures of Liston sitting on his stool in resignation. Ali swelled up faces and caught many a fighter. Even against Foreman right through to Manilla, that version of Ali is still quicker than Usyk.

He throws combinations quicker, he stops genuine chins and pops Chuvalo's head on a swivel in their second fight at times. Usyk throws to the body better than Ali, but he is the shorter fighter in most of his fights - Usyk's just a really immaculate ring general, fighting the fight on terms he knows the larger, slower fighters cannot match.

If you're looking at Ali versus Young - yeah, absolutely, sloppy, disgusting. However, Ali Vs Liston, Patterson, Chuvalo, Terrell, Folley, Williams, even Frazier I and II, Norton I and II, Foreman, Bugner, Foster, Foster, Lyle, Bonavena, both Quarry fights - Usyk isn't in his lane for pure handspeed. What he does have is timing - very good timing.

    Lay off the crack pipe.

Prime Ali is almost certainly the fastest fisted heavyweight of all time.

Did he really pick Landover Ali (Young and Evangelista) to judge his career by. That's kind of unfair to the man, no? It was like judging Shaquille O'Neal 's career on his work as a Celtic. He was baked by then.

I don't know what version he picked but he said that the Ali jab didn't look that quick and then said that Usyk throws quicker punches with plenty of chest.

These wild takes are either just baiting, people genuinely don't watch tape or don't actually understand the fundamentals of body mechanics so cannot be trusted to explain to novices what they're seeing with their own eyes.
