Would people agree the key to the win by Shane is body punching.

I don't think Shane will be faster. Floyd has the speed advantage, but the fact that Shane is closer to Floyd in handspeed then most of his opponents have been and has great experience means something. Someone mentioned that Shane cannot hit Floyd to the body. I think he can. The left to the body will be hard, but a right hand to the almost back of the rib to Floyd could work. The bodyshots are the keys and then the right hand of Shane when Floyd is turning his head. The bodyshots would set it up and slow down Floyd and turn it into a war which Shane would want. He is banking on the fact that Floyd has never been in a real war and if he is hurt to the body he can turn the fight around. If Floyd can take the punishment to the body then Shane will not win. If Shane does not start off working the body and just head hunts the fight will not be his to win. Either way if Floyd goes into the 4th without his body being hit much he will get into a rhythm and win this fight by UD, which I think will happen.

what is funny about Floyd is that he uses that turning defense and makes his opponents have less of a target. Roger Mayweather did this against Vinny Pazienza in 1988 and won the fight. Shane has to find more target even if it mean bordering on illegal punches like the right to the body/back of the rib.

Yes when Shane makes a point of going to the body no one does it better today.

Do you think that's the strategy Nazim and Shane have been working on?

I'd say knock him down at least once. Now I know that doesn't sound like a strategy, and it's not easy to catch FMJ with a clean shot to the head or body, but the point is, since FMJ has never been knocked down before (correct me if I'm wrong), he might get nervous and lose confidence.

  9. I would say it's probably closer to a hail marry overhand right or left hook. But, even if he does land one of them, he's got to be able to follow up with something else. And I don't think he can do it in succession.

By the way, I'm rooting for both fighters, and may the best boxer win.

That's it right there, and I can't believe 39 have tried and 39 haven't realized it (Castillo did in the first fight as I recall)
