Out of shape, yet better than before, nevertheless didn't lose his slickness and speed. Could Fury have jumped directly into a world class fighter?

I dunno cause even that version of Fury still has the size and height to lean on him and shut him out.
I seem to be at odds with everyone re Povetkin,I know what Wlad did was naughty but I just have this vision of Povetkin walking in swinging and all the naughty stuff aside he was still getting rocked off Wlads jab.
I just think he’s gonna look very ordinary against AJ and I hope I’m wrong

Povetkin would have murdered that version of Fury. Hell, I think Price would have too.

I hope Fury is doing his roadwork.

There's a massive difference between Wlad's punching power and Fury's. Fury really doesn't hit that hard.

Fury is good because he's slick, mobile and uses his reach. Take away his gas tank and mobility and he's dog treats against a guy like Povetkin. Now, a mobile, fit Fury is a different prospect altogether.

Povetkin would have chinned that version of Fury inside 4 rounds.

His timing and judgement off distance was completely off.

That Fury was pretty awful, even the faded Povetkin would of chinned him eventually. Fury has a long road back to get back in shape and get his timing back down.

Povetkin could be forced to go through a camp with Teddy and have him in his corner... scratch that. He could have no camp with no cornermen and would still devastate Tyson Fury.

Not sure if Povetkin could have beaten him, I think the size disparity is massive and Fury could and would have leaned on him just like Wlad did. But one thing is for certain: Even if Fury won, Povetkin would have had his moments in the fight and probably would wobble Fury badly.

This Fury would have lost to lesser fighters as current Povetkin. He's not top 10 at the moment.
There's a reason he's fighting very low level opposition now.
