Price always leaves himself open, and is defensively always going to leave openings. Even when you drill into him the basics he always loses concentration during the fight, as you can see from the punch that Povetkin landed that ended the fight...

Before that for the earlier knock down he dropped his right hand- something he would have drilled into him not to do over and over and over again.

Whyte would take a more cautious approach than Povetkin and show Price more respect, but it would be the same result.

Yes Price looked OK'ish for 4 rounds, well better than he has looked for a long time but he was brutally knocked out.

He was dropped before the KO, that knockdown has been forgotten.

As for Povetkin getting a count, it was correct, ropes helped him stay upright but I thought Povetkin was more off balance than actually hurt, he looked OK to me even though Sky Comms made it sound he was completely out on his feet.

Price was hit, he shut down, he was basically knocked out standing up, Price is domestic level at best in my opinion.

Whyte would give him a slower beating but it would still be a beating.

Look, Price looked as good as he has for a long time. But I think some of this is being overstated. Povetkin wasn't stumbling around out on his feet. He took a count but his legs looked fine and he seemed plenty clear headed. I agree with N17, as much a balance thing as anything else. I think it was Froch in the next round saying "He still doesn't look right to me!" as Povetkin was casually teeing off on Price at will.
