Yeah because I've never seen any of his fightsatsch Good argument. The stats mean nothing atall. Actually KOing someone decent means nothing. KO% has nothing to do with power ofcourse.... Saying he has no power is just ******ed and stems from people on heres hatred of the Klits. Even this old Vitali would blow away Audley in 1. Price has alot of power, but it is completely untested against anyone decent. Vitali had alot of big KOs against bums at the start of his career aswell.
Before you start throwing around words like '******ed' you may want to have a look at reading comprehension. I didn't say he had 'no power'. I said he's not a big KO puncher. i.e. at this moment in time, or even since his comeback, he's not been knocking people out, he's been achieving accumulation ref stoppages based on the fact he can on occasion throw an ungodly amount of punches with naturally heavy hands against outmatched opponents. See Chisora v Vitali, Haye v Chisora for a video demonstration of what I'm talking about, or better yet, see Chisora's quotes on the matter rather than looking at stats (which are indicative of power in a broad sense but not always reflective of the nature of that power). Now, if we're going to talk about Vitali's power pre-comeback thats a slightly different matter, although its not really relevant for the purposes of this discussion.
:good Slick my arse, because he trys to use the sholder roll does not make him slick, the fact in Johnson highlights just how weak the HW division is nowdays. He was shocking, flat footed, no movement, frew hardly any punches and by the looks of it had no desire to win.
Yet in amateurs and professional he has NEVER been on the floor AND fought for a world title. That would be the definition of defensively slick to most people. David Price for example received upwards of 15 counts in the amateurs. That is perhaps NOT as defensively slick. Oh, hang on .... LOCATION: LIVERPOOL
A ref stepping in when a fighter is stunned to **** is a knock out win. Just the same as a one punch KO. Its not like if the Ref didn't step in them guys wouldn't have been floored. I'm not going to read to much into what Chisora says either. Marquez says pac hits harder and Cotto says Floyd hits harder, they can't both be right. Styles make fights and Vitali on the back foot wasn't able to land clean or plant his feet. Haye is also very explosive but Vitali I would rate to have the heavier hands. Haye would easily beat Fury or Price imo. Those outmatched opponents Vitali is beating are still a hell of alot better than anyone Price has beaten. Do you really think he wouldn't have KO'd Skelton, Audley or Sexton fast. They would be so overmatched it would be stupid.
No, it's not a KO, it's a TKO. There is a difference, and that's why it's recorded on the fighter's record as being different to a KO.
It still counts towards their KO percentage though doesn't it, and I still get paid out on a KO bet. Not to mention that TKO stands for Technical Knock out.
IT ain't important but there hardly comparable. Show me the early stoppages that Vitali has been gifted ala Calzaghe and that might mean something. Both Vitali and Price are heavy handed ffs. We have no idea who hits harder between him and Price since weve only seen Price dispatch of complete bums. Vitali would have done the same to Sexton, Audley, Skelton, etc who are all just domestic level fighters. Lets see how his power trandfers when he steps up in class a bit.
Oh wow And thats what it boils down too hey? Another clown looking at records and not knowing half a **** about the sport :nono Johnson is shite, and i agree with one poster above, the fact he's lost once is a disgrace to the current crop of HW's, because defensively slick is one thing (among many) he is not, and i havent got time to go into the endless list of reasons for this! because there glaringly obvious :good
My location has nothing to do with it, at all. Im totally unbiased. Im not disminishing Fury by any mean, if you look at my posts ive already said he did everything he needed to do and performed well. But the fact is Johnson is not a slick fighter, not at all. He has a good chin, but did f uck all tonight but went out there to spoil and survive, same as he did against V.K. Would you call Clottey a slick fighter? And as for Price being put down, what has that got to do with anything?
No, because Johnson fights only to survive as he did against Vitali. Vitali pounded the crap out of him, but Johnson would only cover up on the ropes. Vitali won all 12 rounds. Vitali or Vlad would knock Price or Fury out right now.
Knew this would happen .. Fury schools Johnson,Boxes his head off .... Johnson is ****! ****ing Price fans make me sick.
Boxed his head off? Against a man who can't move, doesn't throw anything back. The man is a walking punch bag,who took the fight at 3 weeks notice and never looked hurt or in trouble in the whole 12 rounds. Fury's performance was noting special, and fury is not a big puncher at all.
