this is one of those 'what if' posts. i have just been watching a few of 'Prince' Naseem Hamed's fights, i thought he was a great entertainer and fighter. what if at the height of his career he'd of switched to mma? obviously learning some new fighting skills first of course. he was so unconventional, how do you think he would of faired? do you think his unusual style would of been an advantage or not?
Why do people insist on asking cross over questions? If a Boxer trained MMA just like every other fighter they would probably do just fine. Everyone knows they would have to train for take downs etc. This applies to all Boxers
Strong fighter with ridiculous power. Naturally smaller than feather, he became softer and went up in weight. Originally a bantam/super bantam. Was too small to go any higher and he knew it. If he was a 155 pounder or fought in a smaller division with his strength and power, he'd be scary but as always that talent needs nurturing or it don't mean ****.
Good post!! It would be no good being a world class boxer if you neglected the other disciplines critical to MMA success!
Why do people insist on asking cross over questions? coz we can, ok? half the threads on this forum are 'what ifs', so shut up and pretend. HTFU!!! [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=unkIVvjZc9Y[/ame]
Yes, just for the fact his power was ****ing incredible.. imagine how much harder he would hit in mma gloves.
