Would Ray Leonard have easily beaten all Roy Jones`s 160 opponents?

    Jones was easy to trap on the ropes and Duran was still hard to hit at middleweight he also had the power to deck Barkley.

    Hearns was more powerful than Roy at middle and Hagler would have taken his punches easily.

    I agree I meant any fighter Ray fought that could fight at middle guys like Hearns who he fought at welter but moved up to middle eventually.

    I assumed we meant Duran at 160 like he was at 147... … The younger Duran I think catches up to him. Idon't think Duran was washed up later, I just think some styles beat him.

    RJJ vs SRL at 160 is a mismatch and at 168 a complete mismatch imo .. Roy at 168 is comparable to SRL at 147... not talking style wise but eye test greatness wise

    I'd agree with that, no natural 135 pound fighter will beat Roy Jones. That's like asking a bantamweight , say Zarate , to move up and beat Roberto Duran. That's science fiction talk

    Thanks for injecting some sanity here. Ray Leonard wouldn't last 4 rounds with Roy at 168, probably not 10 at 160

    Yes your right at 168 but if Ray fought Jones at 160 he`d have done better than Toney did at 168 v Roy if that makes any sense, Ray looked a lot easier to hit at 168 than he did v Hagler.

    So your saying a middleweight Ray, who was stopped by Camacho, would give Jones trouble, correct?

    Yes okay I was being way too simplistic but Duran was craftier than anyone Jones ever fought and if he caught Roy with the shot that hit the tougher Barkley he could have really hurt Roy, it was harder than a lot of shots Roy got hit with, it was well timed.

    No the Ray that fought Hagler because he would have beaten Camacho on that night, no way could Camacho give Hagler that sort of trouble.

    Mate I love Duran. Hes probably my favourite fighter ever.

    He has a nightmare with Jones. Even the Duran that fought Hagler would lose widely. Duran wouldn't be able to set his feet.
