would ricky hatton have beat floyd if it wasnt 4 the referee?

As much as I hate Hatton, the ref was the MAJOR factor in that fight and not Floyd. Worst referring performance ive ever seen, made even worse by the fact that i watched Cortez ref a fight the other day and he let pretty much everything go.

Also note, floyd was the one using elbows, floyd was the one clinching after throwing one punch, floyd was the one ducking below waist level. I remember at one point Floyd even initiated a clinch and Cortez told Hatton off!

I dont think even the most hardened Floyd fans would disagree that the ref really screwed Ricky.

That being said, Mayweather still cruises to a UD with a neutral ref mainly cuz he's levels above Hatton, and I mean LEVELS.
