So you if you take away his best win and one of the greatest wins in heavyweight history and look at everything he did through a negative slant then he was inconsistent and not as good as fighters with far less impressive records. I understand.

    Schmeling fought 70 times.
    Uzcudun fought 69 times.
    Sharkey fought 53 times.
    Baer fought 79 times.
    Hamas fought 40 times.
    Louis fought 69 times.
    Braddock fought 77 times.

I guess your excuse for Farr losing to all the guys he lost to is that he fought often.

Didn't be beat Sharkey in the first fight and the second fight he should have won? Since you're the 30s HW guy who were the best fighters of the era besides Louis? I would think Schmeling would be at the top no?

It’s what makes me feel that Schmeling was pretty good but not that good. Braddock out boxed Baer and he was no all time great. Louis of course wrecked Baer. If Max was as good as some like to think he should have found a way to give himself some advantage instead he let Baer smack him around. A fighter with only club fighter skills. No one has given a good reason why Schmelimg would have done better another night so I have to think he was just not good enough.

If you put Max against Max, Max will usually win.
