No, it would still be Joe Walcott.

Joe Louis would still be the hardest puncher....he was out of prime but he still had power

Marciano said Louis had almost no right hand when they met, even though his jab was still like a hammer. I don't see why Schmeling should be considered a harder puncher than Marciano's top opponents. What's their names? Shelley Mc...stein...? Something? Listen, I don't want to have to Google this. But I can't remember who Marciano fought. Mikkel Kessler and Berenhardt Hoskins? I dunno, they seemed to punch okay.

Then you need to do lots of research...don't you?

I hope not. I got school to bother with. They out here tryna teach us CRT, and I can barely keep up with that nonsense. I'm only in fourth grade.

    Easily.
The only one who comes close is Walcott but taking Louis as a reference, Schmeling's right hand was a lot more accurate and effective. He had Louis on ***** Street in the 4th round and managed to take him out.
Walcott did land very good shots but Louis took them a lot better than he did Schmeling's, and that was an older Louis with diminished reflexes.

Yes, Schmeling would be the biggest puncher on Marciano's resume.

Louis was no longer the brute he'd been, tho he still battered Rocky s face.
But then theirs Jersey Joe, who I reckon could hit like a truck himself so maybe he was the harder hitter.

I would have expected more people to have suggested Archie Moore who wasn't that much smaller than Schmeling.

He would have been the most dangerous puncher that Marciano had faced, if not necessarily the hardest.

Schmeling was a good counter puncher but not concussive power, even at Louis’s old age when he fought Rocky I would say he hit just as hard as a prime Max

    Schmeling didn't have concussive power?
Schmeling was as weak a hitter as 1950-51 Louis?
    What?

Did Max hit hard yes. Was it concussive like a Louis, Foreman, Marciano, Shavers, Tyson or Lewis all of whom I’d rate as concussive hitters he clearly was not

Also power is one of the last things to go for a fighter and even towards the tail end of Louis’s career he still could finish opponents

Still Joe Louis, in my view.
