IF anything his style is tailor made for Vitali, and then add to the equation Vitali's big size and power advantage, great chin and elusiveness

Klits aren't going to get beat up by a 5'10 200lbs blind in one eye, left hooker.

 

I'd put my money on Joe vs Vitali. Vitali likes to come forward and shoot his punches downward, leaving his body open for Joe to smash to pieces. Joe would KO him to the body, not the head.

I'd pick Wlad 6/10 times. He stays at distance and wins with the jab for the majority of the rounds. Probably even drops the big right and scores a few KD's or KO.

Joe would get in and Wlad would sprawl his weight on him and tie his arms to prevent body damage. Maybe even push him off and land a one two.

But in 4 of those fights, Joe lands that mean hook to the body and head and Wlad is out.

 

What makes you think that a guy like Vitali would get knocked out by body shots...when was the last time that Vitali got hurt by a body shot? :huh

 

Too much presure for both Klitschkos from Frazier.I am not sure that they take body punches from Frazier.They are not Ali,Ali had body of steel.If Lennox Lewis hurt Vitali than Frazier could also,and he was very strong in late rounds.Look at his fight with big Buster Mathis who is in my opinion phisichcaly stronger than Klitschkos and had very fast hands in that fight vs Frazier.Frazier power is sometimes very underated,but he had one punch KO power with his left hook.

 

Frazier was on his back as many times as Wladimir.
He was a weak chined one armed fighter who couldn't fight on the outside.

When was the last time someone went to his body like Joe would have? Too many of these new guys head hunt. Going to the body in the HW division is almost a lost art.

Which is really confusing; what chance do these clowns think they have at hitting Vitali in the face repeatedly? He has pretty good head movement, combined with his height and akward movement.

Last guy to repeatedly land on Vit's face was Lewis; an ATG. None of these opponents are anywhere close to Lewis, so why do they keep trying to do what only he could?

Of course. Most fighters that lose to dominant fighters are beat before they even step inside the ring. Byrd was going toe to toe with Vitali I doubt he had anywhere close to Vitali or Joes power. Joe wasnt physically very strong but did have alot of pop in his left hook. His fearlessness, bobbing and weaving, pressure, and left hook are a Klitschkos nightmare. You need to be mentally strong to beat fighters like Klits. They not as aggressive as Foreman was. Joe does best vs jabbers, mobile fighters.

 

Hmm, and Lennox could not even ko him that's right. I see it differently, guys get more and harder punches countered in the face trying to go for the body, so for each body shot they get a powerful hook to the head, not really a win situation. So for the rest of the fight they get conditioned not to do it. If you try something 3 times and all 3 times you get countered and hurt, then you will not do it for the 4th time, will you?

Thats where Joe's bob and weave come in. I think he would land massive shots to the body while moving around Vitali's straight downward shots.

 

I just cannot imagine him doing it without taking big shots himself. Especially with that left hook of Vitali.

 

He has to get by a healthy diet of jabs and straight right hands. Nobody has gone to the body on Vitali.

Foreman was landing the jab and right all night vs. the smaller Frazier.

At some point a 7 inch height, 6 inch reach and 40lb weight advantage come into play for Vitali. I think Joe would have a better shot against Wladimir.

 

Also, alot of people bring the bob and weave argument in, but what do we see the Klitschkos)especially Wlad) do if you slip his jab?
