Errol has recently been coming out saying he would like a fight with Manny Pacquiao this June. However there is one problem. The a mandatory defense will be due by that time. Let's say Manny accepts Errol challenge.and they want to fight this June. Would Errol drop his belt for the money fight ? Last summer he fought ocampo in a mandatory defense another will be due by this summer. Same reason why Mikey Garcia gave up his belt to fight Errol. The IBF. Is very strict on these matters. The IBF belt is the only thing Spence has going for him. So what do you guys think would Spence give up his belt for the Pacquiao fight ?

Belts and these sanctioning orgs don't mean squat. Boxers and the public are brainwashed into believing they have meaning by the sanctioning bodies because that gives them power. Power they don't deserve. But it's kind of like people complaining about Facebook and Twitter yet they continue to empower them by using them when people could easily stop using FB and Twitter, but they don't. Same thing with these sanctioning bodies.

If Pac accepts, hell yes Spence should take the fight. No one is willing to fight him at 147. Cash out of 147 and move up. Nothing better than to get your name out to the casual than fighting one of the super star of boxing. Spence is the younger, stronger, bigger fighter. If he can't beat this Pac that has clearly been declining he should rethink his boxing career.

I doubt the IBF strips Errol if he fights Manny next.

They'd probably cite some "obscure" rule in their magic archives to sanction that fight.

Can you imagine an alphabet soup organization willfully saying no to a hefty sanctioning fee, tons of free press release mentions of their organization, and a chance for their rep to be in the ring after the fight to personally award their *gasp* prestigious belt to the eventual winner?

    Me neither.

IBF's mandatory would be Kerman Lejarraga or Qudratillo Abduqaxorov. This is professional boxing. You don't just fight a nonamer when you have a chance to fight Pacquiao. Plus IBF would be outright stupid to strip Spence for fighting Pac.

I believe Kudratillo Abuqaxorov and Keita Obara are fighting on the March 30 Top Rank card in Philly to determine Spence's IBF mandatory.

Right how much is left i'd say the Pacman from years back would be a real problem for Errol. But man that guy has been in some wars, one of which he was knocked out cold. But who knows, I'd be kidding myself if I said I wouldn't watch it lol.

I think it's a very beneficial fight. We get to see new things about Errol Spence that manny can show us. Some flaws maybe .
