Would Teofimo Lopez beating Crawford be the biggest upset of the decade ?

It would be up there. Teo looked good against Taylor but struggled against Nakatani and I had him losing to Martin. Crawford is bigger and levels higher than any of these guys. Lopez would be a major underdog. If he somehow beat Crawdad legitimately, it would be a massive upset. I don’t see it happening unless it’s years from now and Crawford is shot but this is boxing and anything is possible.

 

No Tyson Fury vs Wladimir Klitschko was a bigger upset.

Lol what ? it's easy to say that now with hindsight but lets go back to 2015 ? Fury had struggled immensely vs Cunningham and only had 2 notable wins over Chisora, Cunningham, and had not beaten a single top 10 Heavyweight.

No one gave Fury a snowball's chance of upsetting Wladimir in his backyard, and Fury hadn't shown in prior fights that he could beat someone of the stature of Wladimir.

Lopez is atleast established and is a unified champion with 2 big wins over Lomachenko, Taylor.

So yes as i said Fury/Wladimir would still be seen as the bigger upset.

Though gotta say, I don't think Teo would beat Bud, but I would be rooting for Teo tbh if it happens. Could you imagine his resume at that age, moving up in weight to beat Loma, Taylor, and Bud.

i like lopez.
he seems to have a lot of stress and distraction outside of the ring. from a fan's perspective, i would think the stresses would take away from the focus needed to compete at the highest stages of competition. but the opposite appears to be true.
can lopez beat crawford? i don't know for sure, but i'd love to see this match up.
