No but he would get beat by the Holmes that fought Mercer

@mark ant you seem to be pretty certain Joshua beats Tyson, when a short guy like Ruiz absolutely dismantled Joshua who couldn't deal with his speed. And literally had to run away in their 2nd meeting against an even more out of shape Ruiz.

Joshua loses to Ruddock before the 2nd Tyson fight, loses to Tyson, Bowe, Lewis, Tua, Ibeabuchi, and has a decent chance against the rest.

A guy like AJ would do well in any era. Not saying he'd be king, but he'd be up there.

Holmes loses a decision to AJ in the 1990 s. Possibly. Unless he could spring an upset as he did Mercer. But what's the betting that Joshua can't ko Larry??

AJ becomes world champion in the 90s. You guys love overrating 90s heavyweights. Anthony Joshua was obviously better than Bruce Seldon, Frank Bruno, Oliver McCall, Tommy Morrison etc etc.

Better than Tyson, Holyfield, Lewis, Bowe even?

No certainly not. But don't write off even some of the other 90 s fellas.
Bruno for one. He's in with a chance of icing AJ.
Tommy Morrison wasn't the top guy but he could hit with that hook.
Definitely can't rule out Foreman early 90 s too. Imo of course.

AJ is far more skilled than the Mercer that fought Holmes and has a longer reach.

Becomes would champ beating who? He`d certainly win the WBO belt but would have a harder time winning one of the more established belts of that era.
